Outdated and non practical syllabus characteristics of most universities

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose English as I was confused on what degree to learn. I had a newfound discovery for software engineering but being from arts background, it was too late to change streams. So I decided to choose my second passion while learning software on the side. Faculty student ratio was fair enough. Faculty was good and exams were easy enough if you started a week before exams

Internships Opportunities

Companies come from various places including Deloitte, Sbi, HDFC, tech Mahindra and Wipro. The vast majority of them offer roles of assistant roles in fields such as finance, human relations, accounting with some exceptions for other courses.

Placement Experience

For placement, it is the 5tb semester where campus placements start. Although there are companies recruiting different types of degrees, the majority are for commerce people. Around 100 companies visit with around 2000 offers and average placement being 3-6 lpa. For English though, there is basically no chance for campus placement

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees were very affordable being a government college and the course being a BA one as well. The main money drain was the cost of living and food as any places nearby were all overpriced as they were for students

Campus Life

There is no tech fest for this college, although there are sometimes startup fests which come with new app ideas. Books are available more than plenty although journals can be hard to find. Amenities are good for the price, with working ac and plenty of space in all classrooms. The ground is small and many professional sports are only for sports quota for their respective sport they were admitted kn

Admission

Eligibility was 12th pass in English with an application for on the Delhi University admission site which they release a new one for every year. Now they use cuet system which is much more fair for the general person.

Truth About Hidden IPCW (DU)

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option

Economics Hons can offer financial assistance and become great consultation too. So from Deloitte or the Big 4 many consultancy firms such as BCG and many more may not be that big but do come to our campus for recruitments.

Harsh Truth about Hansraj

I applied for srcc, hasraj and hindu college, and i got hansraj college which was my second reference in the list but i could not made into other college due to my lack of timings, like i was a passed out of last year 2023 -24 batch and last year in our ways of admission process cut off was less so it could have been possible for me to get into srcc.
