Course Curriculum Overview

The course faculty are very helpful and guide us through our course diligently. The classes sometimes become tedious but they are still manageable. The workload on the other hand is really tough as there are a lot of assignments and tests coming in back to back

Internships Opportunities

I don't have the experience of going through placements as I am still just a first year student but the companies that are offered under internships are Cisco etc. The rest details can only be explained once I go through that process

From the 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements Some of the companies that visited NITC are toshiba,oracle,Amazon,Bajaj 84.76% students get placed from NIT My plans after getting degree is to get a job and do my MBA later

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is 33000 hostel fees 32834 college fees (with income certificate) 74500 college fees(without income certificate) This is per semester. For joining hostel for the first time there was an additional one time fees of 22000 for the first sem

Campus Life

Tathva is the annual tech fest conducted in NITC It is going to be conducted at January 2023 The library at NITC is well equipped with all the required books The classrooms are clean As for sports there are a lot of sports played here like tennis,football,basketball, badminton,hockey etc. SAC (students academic council) is a group run by students

Hostel Facilities

NITC has 15- hostels We first years reside at A-hostel and B-hostel We have decent rooms and decent veg and non veg food Hostels are pretty affordable and the process is not very complex We have an app for all the hostel payments

Admission

I took JEE mains exam and passed with 81.2 percentile I availed reservation benefits of Gen-EWS and the application process was first registering for JOSAA councelling and then online registration for the college and finally offline reporting for the college

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
