Likes

Clubs and societies are quite beneficial.
Thapar has great infrastructure, and sports facilities.
Cos area has quite good food outlets , best one is pizza nation.

Dislikes

Thapar food fest, it was waste of money and artist who had to come in fest , rejected last minute.
The selection process to tech societies is quite handful, there are too many rounds and even after interview process , feedback is not given.
Checking of papers is very casual, generally we need to see papers if all questions are marked

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I believe it had a lot of benefits in future. And the job opportunities are more with the computer. In the first semester, we were given 5 subjects. Which includes fit applied physics ,mathematics, manufacturing processes ,engineering drawing and. Professional communication.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 581000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for the first semester, excluding hostel and other facilities is too large. 81000 which is quite much, but there is there are 2 scholarships which are provided. One is merit and second is merit. Come means college ship, so do those people who have their annual family income less than 10 lacks are eligible for both these scholarships.

Campus Life

The life at campus is quite enjoyable. The first week, which was introductory we were showcased about various societies and clubs. Also, certain workshops took place which were quite beneficial other than that. In first semester, there were 3 fest, which were conducted one was with the mudra night was surn and 1 was sania. Conducted also a tapered food phase was conducted, which was. Quite fun

Admission

The admission process was quite simple ,First of all we had to register online. On official website of university, We were provided with a link then we filled the form. In the form there was option to prioritize the branches in which I chose c o p c that was computer science in the campus of potala. Further We had to submit 500 something rupees. For registration which were non refundable and then our admission process was complete.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. I had a really nice percentile of 98.9 in jee mains but what happend is i intentionally wanted to score 69 in boards i didnt know about the 75 percent jee mains criteria i got 69.7 i like to call it 69.69 but i messed up so i applied in vit as well and srm and thapar i got in all of them after giving there respective tests on the same fees but i chose thapar was better after some consultation with my relatives who are in this field and know people in this field i got admission in the end on basis on jee only in thapar and the experience is well...Read More

Bits Pilani was the other college that I applied for but in there entrance exam I didn't score enough to get a branch of my liking. I applied for VIT and SRM but didn't take admission due to poor quality of placements and peer group. I am from the General Outside Punjab quota.
