Remarks

I took admission in electronics and communication engineering in nit jamshedpur college. My percentile was 97.25 in jee main. The strength of class Is 118 which includes home state students, other state students and dasa students, The admission process was very smooth in the college and very easily done.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose electronics engineering because I m interested in semiconductor devices and I want to work on it .One reason is also that in my rank ,I have not any iit college. All the faculty in my college are very nice and they teach very well

Nit jamshedpur as situated in jamshedpur,gives a lot of internship opportunities to their students. As jamshedpur itself having a lot of factory that attracts many company towards it . Average package of nit jsr is about 15lpa .

Placement record of nit jsr is highly attractive. Average package of nit jsr is about 15 lac per annum that is a decent amount. Many students lso apply for off campus placement also in the college as well

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee structure in one year in nit jamshedpur is about 2.5 lac for general student and around 1.9 lac for OBC students. There are a lot of opportunities and internship by the company that come to the college. Students also can apply scholarship here .

Campus Life

Life at nit jamshedpur is very exciting. There are fest , sports , different clubs in different domain in the college. We have also branch wise fest in the college having a lot of fun .The infrastructure of nit jsr is highly attractive too.

Hostel Facilities

There are 5 girls hostel in nit jsr fir girls and for boys there are separate hostel for each year . Hostel facility is quite good ,or I can say hostel is hostel, for having a bright future you have to manage some things in your life .

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
