Superb. Splendid. Very Happening

It's a good girls' college and the good thing about it is the strict rules which are mandatory to follow and instills discipline alongwith our freedom.

The admission in the college was not on the basis of any exam but solely on my board percentage in class 12th. The college had issued a cutoff list and as I cleared the cutoff I took admission in this college as my preference was always a girls' college and Maths has always been a strong subject in my schooling life.

The course includes Algebra and Calculus in the first semester and real analysis will be introduced later.We have our practical classes at least twice a week.There is a separate wing in college which takes care of researches by students and teachers across all streams. I have taken commerce as my elective subject.

We have vast intership opportunities in every field such as finance, marketing, Computer science related courses and research and field work. The stipend amount if there does not exceed 3000rs but of this I'm not sure.

JMC has good campus selection opportunities.Although most girls go for higher studies and government exams many get placed with average salaries going upto 30 k just after graduation. Commerce students o get placed in companies like KPMG etc. depending on their caliber.

Jmc is one of the main fests' hub of the south campus. We recently hosted a Diwali Mela called SPARSH. where students of all colleges could come and many set up their stalls too. At least more than thousand students took part and the organization was impeccable as the college had assigned girls to keep a proper check on the decorum of the function and security of the college was also pretty tight.

The fees for the entire one year is Rs 13.3K . However we are required to pay an additional exam fees before every semester exam which is subject to change. The above stated fees includes practical fees as well.

Scholarships are provided to girls who come from humble backgrounds or from a specific state which has certain provisions for grants of the residents of that place. However I didn't avail any scholarship nor any loan.

There is always some activity or the other happening in college. We can join the dance ,debating, music, sports or any other society all of which are very active and meet at least once a week preparing for various college competitions.I'm a part Of NSS where we do social service frequently.

There is no hostel facility in the college. However the students reside in nearby PGs which are pretty decent around Rs. 15k all inclusive. The quality of food is not upto the mark and I'm living in triple sharing room but there are twin sharing ones too.

Haven't had any such alumni meeting. But as I've heard from the seniors our alumni have been placed in good firms across the world.

We have internal exams which are held as and when the teachers see it fit for all the students to attend. There is not much pressure as far as internals are concerned but the main semester exams have quite a bit of course which always keeps us on our toes.Labs are not at all tiring.

JMC has some outstanding teachers teaching in the Mathematics department. They are very interactive and since most teachers are women , we can approach them with any student problem besides studies too. The teachers are always ready to solve our questions even on whats app.
