Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I preferably choose this course at VNIT Nagpur as I wanted to pursue my Masters in Physics and then go for Ph D in Astrophysics. Faculty:Student ratio is 1:2. The faculty is highly educated and highly engaged in the field of their research. There teaching techniques are quite well. Exams are taken in 4 phases, 2 are internal , 1 mid sem and 1 end sem. It was easy to pass them if you are highly motivated in your field.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

There a paid summer research internship programme,Even if you are VNIT student or not you have to pay for internship. There will be no stipend for that internship. You have to pay for accommodation also.

Fees and Financial Aid

For 1st Sem you have to pay Rs 25000 is you are general category which includes one time fees, admission fees and your semester fees. For 2nd Sem fees is Rs 11,350. 3rd and 4th Sem fees is Rs 13500. However fees may change for particular year as per the guidelines. Various Scholarship are provided for economically weak students also there are scholarship for reserved students (SC, ST, etc). For general category there are no scholarship at all. Further you can check for Inspire scholarship if your 12th percentage is well in your respective boards.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus is very well and the life depends on the type of students as there are sports ground, swimming pool, library, etc facilities available. If you are a studious student library is the best place for you.You can find all types of books there also there is proper wifi facilty available to work with the internet. Other then that if you want to explore your college life there are various fests, or events organized. For masters there sports fest is Vihaang in which various clubs take part in numerous of sports, cultural events, e sports, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

For masters student 1 room per head is provided and the size of room is descent 12'×8' or may be more enough for one person. Table, Chair, Fan and an Almirah is provided. For registration you have to check for the notice on college site and pay fees online. Rooms are alotted on the first come first get basis. Meal is good, some days there may be bad but other days it is good. Locality is good all the facilities are available but it's bit costly.

Admission

I gave IIT JAM 2023. You can search for IIT JAM on google and you will get the site for particular year, every year different IIT hosts it. Fees for the application is Rs 1800 for general category. Form usually gets out in the month of September or October.

Placement Experience:

The placements in this college are not so great. They really want master's graduate to get BPO's job. But not all of them. There were some good placement opportunities which wou;d help students grow. After 3rd Sem students are eligible for exam this is only applicable for masters graduate. for Bachelor's it is during 5th SEM. Deloitte, Infoysis, TCS,Reliance and many others used to get place for this role. The criteria was to be clear of all semesters with first class passing CGPA or percentage.
