Life at fergusson

As you must know, fergusson is known for education, i always wanted to be a fergussonion... As I am a bsc. computer science graduate, I wanted to pursue this course and the perk is the course fergusson provides is just perfect, it is more practical based less theory based approach is really great. They focus more on projects and teaching students right skills rather than just focusing on the academics. So there is not much areas of improvements. Frequency and timing of exams along with the difficulty perspective is also perfect. Exams are not much difficult and totally based on what faculty tches in the class and their notes.

So as we are getting started with the internship and stuff this company omniscient has made an offer for internship and is giving stipend of 21k/month. There are different companies offering stipends in this range such as BluePineapple, springCT etc. We are given mini projects which are based on academics case study nd one manjor project which we can choose but we have to develop a full stcak application which is very helpful in building our resume.

Students are eligible for campus placements from 3rd semester. I am going to start the process now from june. The companies such as springCT, Josh, Omniscient, Bluepineapple,etc. come for campus placements. Some companies make offers in lot or some lpick only 2/3. Almost all students get internships. In 4th semester we have to do internship compulsory. Average package is 7lpa if its a job offer if its an internship the it is lesser.

fee for msc computer science was 88000/- when i took admission for open, obc,etc... and only sc,st students had fees 28000/- so scholarships were not actually said but we can apply to the mahadbt scholarship.

Overall experience is just great I would say, if you want to enjoy campus and college life then fergusson is the place to be. So there is a big fest called spandan in which there are many performances of students such as dancing, singing,standup,etc. there are departmental fests in which each department organises many fun activities from students for students. There is also flashmobs and things. This fest is only for fergussonions strictly. Yes there is a wide range of books in our library over 10 lakh and contains books on various subjects. Classrooms are well equipped with digital boards. There are so many extracuricular activities such as nss, yog,sports,etc. Yes there are student run groups.

I applied to only 2 colleges as my first preference was fergusson. So I only appied to fergusson and garware college. I got selected there too but as I got selected at fergusson while I was in dilemma whether to pay fees of garware or not , I decided to give fergusson a chance. So for admission process, they took an entrance exam for which we had to pay Rs. 800/- as processng fees of application and exam. So after giving exam the scorelist came and on the basis of that cutoff was decided for various categories. Then at the admission round, the students who got same marks in entrance were compared on the basis of cgpa. Then got accepted as per the seats alloted by sorting the cgpa of students.

yea so there are 4 teachers and one guest teacher for elective. they all are great really nice, approachable. So the best faculty will be aparna maam she is very easy to talk and humble. but all the other teachers are also nice. No there are no one i don't like they all are great. So there are three exams CE1 CE2 and the semester exam that is ESE. so in CE1 they give u some task like presentation or so and in CE 2 they have an online mcq test or something like that and the ESE is proper theory and practical exam with projects.

no i haven't faced any gd or interview for admission, I jjst agev an entrance exam for my admission. Then when the entrance exam score came , students were sorted according to that and then checked our cgpa to finalise the admission.

So our favourite hangour spot is the media canteen. Whenever we have a stressful day we go over there to hangout and treat ourselves with delicious food. So the reading hall closes at 8 pm. I actually do not know about hostels . Famous hangout spots are media canteen, kimaya, botanical garden, open amphitheatre,etc. It is totally safe to roam around at night as there are security guards.
