Remarks

College management is good. We have lockers which is a rarity in DU colleges. The infrastructure is amazing as compared to North or south campus. The budgets are a little tight for fests and the college isn't popular.

Entrance Preview

I took JAT to get into this college. I earned a rank of around 600. The course I'm pursuing, BFIA is only in two colleges. Shaheed Sukhdev, and mine. I didn't qualify CBS so took Shaheed Rajguru College.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is good. It focuses on finance although many subjects overlap with BMS but the subjects are diverse with a concentration on Finance. The syllabus is well defined. The subjects I studied in my first year were Financial Accounting, managerial Economics, Business Communication, Entrepreneurship, CSR, Cost Accounting, Business Statistics, EVS.

Internships Opportunities

No, not in the first year. It is a science college so the placement cell isn't very active. But now that a management batch is in the college, we'll work to make it more active.

Placement Experience

2.5

Again, since we're the first management batch, there's no data on that available. The placement cell isn't very active. But we will work to make it active. This data will hopefully be available by the time we, the first batch, pass out of the college.

College Events

3

Diwali Mela- This is celebrated around diwali. Students from other colleges are invited to witness the celebration. There are stalls of food and other things. Sports Day- This is a College event. Many Competitions are organised and any student can participate. Karvaan- This is our Annual Fest of two days. It's an elaborate and beautiful event. Stars are called for entertainment and many Competitions for other colleges are held. Annual Day- This is the last event of the year. Certificate and prize distribution is the highlight of this one.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is not very expensive. It's feasible for most students. It's similar to other DU colleges. Many scholarship opportunities are also given based on various criteria like income, etc. My fees for first year was Rs. 22,000. There's the payment of exam fees apart from this, twice a year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees isn't too much and can be afforded easily by most families so a loan is definitely not required to pay the fees according to me. But yes many central scholarship programs are run and students can avail them during the course of the year. However the fees has to be paid once in the beginning and only later the scholarships can be availed.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is average. Not very interesting or fun because it's an isolated college and no other colleges are around it. It's an all girl's college. The people are from very diverse backgrounds. Many are outstation students. There aren't many parties being held and the crowd is pretty dull because most are Science Courses and have classes all day all week. Many workshops and guest lectures are organised during the course of the Year. There isn't much politics going around like in the North Campus or in the south. Cultural societies are active for the most part and new ones are coming up too.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel facilities are nice. The hostel is clean. Has a good atmosphere. Being a girls college, it is safe and very close to classes. The food at the mess is not great. And the canteen person is also not very nice. The food is kind of unhygienically prepared as the kitchen is dark and dirty. The students have been trying to report that to the Principal.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students are helpful and friendly. We meet them at the Orientation and other fest and events as well as in societies. They don't try to overshadow you, they help you move forward and do well.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is like all other DU colleges. Except in other courses, student's can study from 10 years and that's enough. Whereas in my course we use the books prescribed in the syllabus instead of the guides because guides aren't available. Exams are fine, preparatory leaves are there so not much stress. But I'd say there's Competition because this is a Entrance Based course.

Admission

The notification was released online in july and the procedure wasn't tough. I just went to the College, bought the form, filled it, attached all required documents and submitted it to the college. Then you have to go home and pay the fee online, that's when the admission is confirmed.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is average. They lack experience in the teaching of this course since this course is only in 2 colleges. They are helpful and willing but sometimes themselves aren't clear about things. They teach okay. I would say, the faculty could've been better.

Placement for DTU BBA (USME) are moderate and are still developing. Students become eligible from the 6th semester. Companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, TCS, Startups and consulting firms visit. The average package is around 5-6LPA, with highest 10-12LPA for top profiles. Around 50-60% got placed. I planned to pursue an MBA and build my profile through certifications.

Placement Experience:

BBA students usually become eligible for campus placements in their final year, mainly during Semester V and VI. Before final placements, students also get opportunities for internships and training, which helps them understand the recruitment process and prepare better for final placements. A variety of companies from different sectors visit the campus for BBA placements, mainly from consulting, finance, marketing, and operations backgrounds. Well-known companies such as Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and other corporate firms have recruited BBA students in recent years. While the exact number of offers varies each year, a good number of eligible students receive placement opportunities through campus drives. The highest package has gone upto 17 lpa and the average package is 6-7 lpa It has around 60-80% students getting placed which is decent.
