Remarks

The college is overall very good. And it all depends on the student, that how he handles the situation and also his behaviour towards college management.

Entrance Preview

I got admission in Dsc through merit basis as per my result of class 12th. The admission process is little wide in du. You have to spend the whole day on filling the forms and giving the interview.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My course is Ba(prog) and my subject is Human Resource management. So as per my experience, my course is easy in comparison to other courses. It can be done by ourselves if we give the good amount of time to it. The teachers are good and cooperative. They assist us all the time with all the problems on and off the campus.

Internships Opportunities

Usually, our college doesn’t provide the internship. But from this year, we had an internship fair, in which around 25 companies came to our college for providing the internship. Generally, the stipend is Rs.5000 and the company provide us with certification.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement is all depended on the performance of the student. The starting salary is between 10000-20000. And the companies like Oyo, nestaway etc, come to our campus for providing job opportunities. The students are selected on the basis of their activities, yearly performance and grades.

College Events

3.5

Many types of events are organised in our college. One of the best of them is cultural fest which is in the month of February. It is three-day fest in which celebrities are called from outside and also the students perform in it. Freshers parties are also well organised.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very less as it is government college. The fee for the year is around Rs.12000 per year. It is feasible. Therefore, the college fee is not more and easy to pay. The main expense is on travelling and pg’s which is quite expensive in Delhi.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fee is very low (Rs.12000 per year) therefore there is no scholarship or loan facility offered by our college.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is too good in our college. There are different societies like dance society, singing society, drama society etc. There are different political parties who stand in elections. There is no gender, race, religion differentiation in our college.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities are not available in our college. Therefore student accommodates in pg’s. The pg’s are quite expensive near our college. The rent varies between 9000-13000 per month in which the following facilities are given - beds, closet, A/C, TV, washing machine, food and Wi-fi.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful in our college. From the first day of admission, they start helping us till the last day of college. They are very friendly and guide us in the right way.

Exam Structure

The exam is of 75 marks per subject and other 25 marks are in the hand of the subject teacher. 25 marks are divided into two parts, 20 marks are for internals and 5 marks are for attendance. The exams are held in classes and labs. Students are well prepared for the exams as thorough internals and tests.

Admission

First there were 2-3 types of forms in which I had to write my personal details. Also I attached my 12th result in it. I had to go through a easy interview and last was taking the sign of the head department on the form regarding admission. Seniors are too helpful and were there all the time to help the new students.

Faculty

4

The faculty of our college is well educated and cooperative too. The teacher helps us with all the problems be it on the campus or off the campus. The principal of our college is very nice and humble man. He is always there to help us with our problems. All the members of the faculty have done masters in their particular fields.

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

Placement Experience:

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason why I choose this subject because I like history and want to know more about it . History have the best opportunities to pursue the UPSC , Anthropology, archeology and we can learn more about historical researches . The faculty im the department of history is updated and well versed in the field of history and have adopted student friendly teaching methods which make me suggest this subject in JMC to the students who likes to pursue higher studies in history. The exams are conducted at the end of every semester with moderate difficulty level .
