Likes

The college campus location. Our college campus situated near Torsha river . So it's a nice view from our classrooms.
Playground. We have a huge playground.Where at a time students play football and cricket together.
Our classrooms are very clean and availability of every comfort.

Dislikes

Parking is not good

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the course bcz I want a great job in core companies. Our faculty is very good. They are very helpful about our study and life related problems. The teaches us very well . Our facultys are PhD holder and they publish their research papers in many foreign journal. They completed their PhD from IIT.We get 6 months for each semester. In our university any body can pass easily if he study consistently for few hours at a day.

Class Size: 44Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

In our college for non core department semester fees is 12000 per year and for core department semester fees is 6000 per year. This is affordable for poor students who don't have sufficient money for studying in private college. So they can easily complete their b . tech degree easily in our college. Students can get SVMCM , OASIS, NSP and many other scholarship

Campus Life

Life in campus is very joyful.In our college social life is very good. Our batchmates, faculties are very friendly and also seniors are very helpful and friendly.We have so many clubs like dance club, Singing club ,Drama club, Debate club, Sports club, GDSC etc.Our college conducted annual fest for 1 time in a year . We have library.

Admission

After Higher secondary education with science stream (PCM) I gave wbjee exam .I got a rank 23150 and I took admission in mechanical engineering by wbjee board counseling.The process is very easy for took admission.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
