There are many extra curricular activities are here.
There are two canteens present in our college campus.
Labs and library are attractive for students.

Dislikes

There is no any hostel facility available in campus for boys.
For non Bengali students language barrier in most disappointing thing.

Course Curriculum Overview

CSE department is all about computer programming and projects. For getting this course i have to give hard work for securing a good rank in Wbjee. And then I get CSE department in HIT. Here faculty members are too good. They teach us many things which will help us in internship and placement. Faculty are highly educated and there teaching methods are also too good.

Internships Opportunities

For CSE students computer programming is very important. And if you want to intern in good companies then you have to give your best efforts in getting a knowledge of programming. Many companies will give you an internship opportunity if you are skilled. Many projects are given to you in your internship period.

Placement Experience

There are many companies visited in our college for placement. After 6-7th semester placement will start. For good package you have to score CGPA above 8. The average package of our college is about 5lakhs. Many companies like Wipro, Infosys, TCS, etc, want CGPA above 7.5 . There is about 80-85 percent students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

In HIT course fee is average as compared to other private colleges. We have to pay 1.15lakhs per year. If you are from poor family then you have to do hard work and secure a high score and then you got a scholarship which will help you in your college fee. State government also give an educational loan at lowest rate.

Campus Life

Our college campus is spread in 10 acres. In this less area there is a 3-5 building are present which is named as CME, ICT, CB,etc. There is also a big playground. But a disappointing thing is that there is only one playground used for cricket and football both. Sports clubs, extra curricular activities are also here. There are two canteens present in college campus one is named as laber canteen and one is main canteen.

Admission

CSE is top course as we all know and I get this course after getting a good rank in Wbjee exam. For get admission in this course first of all you have to give an entrance exam Wbjee which is held by West Bengal to get admission in institute which is present in West Bengal. For CSE core branch you have to score a rank in between 3k-6k.

Placement in our college is descent . Students typically become eligible for campus placement starting from the 5th Semester. For CSE/IT companies like TCS,CTS ,WIPRO, ACCENTURE etc... come for the placements. For Core branches like EE,ECE,ME Companies like L &T ,samsung, TATA Steel etc...come for offers. The highest package is around 8 to 10 LPA and the average is around 4 to 5 LPA. 70% to 80% of RCCIIT generally get placed across varios department. My plan is to persue MS from abroad/.

Students become eligible for campus placement starting from 6th semester ,meanwhile u can also get paid internship from 5th semester itself .The companies which visited the campus most frequently are Cognizant ,TCS ,Infosys ,IBM ,PwC ,BMC ,Tavisca ,Wipro ,Amazon .Tavisca provided over 12 LPA while BMC provided over 14 LPA ,meanwhile in 2024 ,a new record of highest package emerged which is of 21 LPA.The Average package is 480,000 rupee CTC .Over 80 to 90% of students are placed and the college has a very good alumni network which provides u with referrals and possible jobs.I plan to join a IT company after getting my degree

Good for placements, excellent hostel life and good to learn, apply and fun. A college for all round development.

Placement Experience:

Placement ratio of the college is very good, cadets start getting placements from 2nd year but majorly the mass placement process starts from 3rd year. The packages ranges from 400-1200 USD as an engine cadet. There are major companies such as CHEVRON, MSC, DYNAGAS, NYK, FLEET MANAGEMENT, PACIFIC BASIN, MOL, IOCL, ZODIAC MARITIME, TORM TANKERS, etc that visit the college for placements every year. I know Global institute of technology and management college where I started my Btech in mechanical engineering course is one of the great college in west Bengal for Btech but in these period during lock down causes of covid 19 our classes are not going very well. But although teachers are doing there best for teaching us all subjects and they also supporting us all the time. So I thik this will be a new experience with all of this. Hi I am a student in hit kolkata.Admission is taken through both wbjee and jee main score. Especially for computer science a rank of around 4000 can secure you a place ,may vary a little bit. Talking about the application form it will come on the wbjee web page .Application fee is 500. Application dates will be updated on the official website. There are reservation benefits in college based on category,family income like twf in which semester fees is reduced. Before admission process there ocurrs 2 round of counselling and a mop up round.Then the admission in which a amount of around 70000 is paid through cash or online medium. Coming to the college aspect the main things to talk about are infrastructure,teaching and teachers, food ,water .And all these things are pretty good.There are some more needs like sports facilities so there is playground in which you can play.There is also some programs keep happening at certain times to keep your mind free after hours of classes. Unveiling HITK

So, basically i gave all engineering exams and i got good marks in jee as well as in wbjee but waiting for jee councelling to get decent college of my choice unfortunately i did not got what i was expecting and thus throung my jee marks i got admission in hitk which is also a decent college. Talking about the application form u will find in wbjee websiteand its fees is 500 rs also application dates are available in the website itself . Now , yes there are reservations for the student of west bengal if they score better they get more chance that outside students .
