Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because in childhood I am good at mathematics and I always wanted to higher study in mathematics. Our Rahara Ramkrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College's facility is good enough. In every semester there are two exams one is mid semester and another is final semester . The semester is taken to complete 5 months .

Class Size: 1800Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many intership opportunities available in our Rahara Ramkrishna Mission Centenary College . Many companies offer under internships with stipend. Mini companies comes in our college and gives nice package with our expectations.

Placement Experience

After graduation students become eligible for campus placements. All over 90% students are get placement. After getting the degree I wish to become a social service man. I want to develop my society.

Fees and Financial Aid

The highest package of our college is 55 thousand ,average package is 50 thousand and lowest package is 45 thousand all over 3 years. Our campus is good enough. Our college NAAC is no. 1 in India and nirf rank in all India is 8th.

Campus Life

My campus live is very enjoyable and our teacher is very friendly to us. Also in terms of books, we get all books from our library and library infrastructure is very good . Our library is well stocked. Mini curricular activities and sports activities are held in our college.

Admission

I am soumyadip Rana student of Rahara Ramkrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College in B.Sc Honours in Mathematics. The admission process is good and helpful to us. Reservation benefits are available in our college. Admission process is very good.

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.

This is a Boys college so only male students are given addmission and one is eligible to apply for MSc Mathematics and Computing if he obtains a mean percentage of 50% up to the first 5 semesters of one's BSc in mathematics with almost 30 seats on offer and reservation of seats for the OBC, SC and ST as per as the government norms. RKMVCC - A Place to build students.

Rkmvcc has ranked 8th in the 2019 NIRF college ranking. And 10th in 2020 NIRF ranking. And not only that it even is bearing the tag of Centre For Potential Excellence of the govt of India. Talking about the faculty, as I'm in botany dept I am definitely gonna tell you the dept is absolutely great. With great teachers, and supporting and student-friendly college authority. Even the college provides research facilities in botany and all I can say It has the best botany dept in eastern India. Actually this college selects students through entrance examination exception was only in 2020 due to covid crisis. Now my guidance to other students will be if you want to persue a career in general science, and especially in life sciences, chemistry then Rkmvcc, will be a great place as it's politics-free and has great intent to build students.
