Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen this course as it is now considered the best course of engineering in the IT sector as well as the core field. The faculty members are highly educated. They are all qualified from different IITS and NITS throughout India. There are two exams with six month of gap between them.

Internships Opportunities

Many companies come to our college to provide internship facilities. These internship facilities help us in the near future when we will get a job. There we learn to do different types of projects which will be helpful for our job.

Placement Experience

From 6th semester students are eligible for placement from the college. Many multinational companies visit our college. The highest package from our college is 12LPA and the average package is 4LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no fees hike policy in our college and the cost of study is affordable. Our college provides svcm scholarships to each and every student. Our college also helps the students having financial problems.

Campus Life

The annual fest of our college is known as Esperanza. There are many books and journals in our college library. Our classrooms have projectors for study. There are football and cricket tournaments in our college.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is neat and clean with wifi facilities. The food served in the hostel is very good and tasty. To register for hostel rooms there are applications on the hostel website. The locality around our hostel is peaceful.

Admission

I have taken the WBJEE exam where l got a 28000 rank chose Coochbehar Government Engineering College as my first priority as l heard it is the best college for electrical engineering. This college has many facilities for electrical engineering.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . 7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
