My course was Bsc botany hons. I chose this subject as I was a science student who wanted to study something related to this only, also botany has a vast scope. Our class had 23 students only which is good. also, the teaching staff was good some were rude also.

Placement Experience

There is placement if you join the placement society, also it's specific for some courses like Bcom Bsc maths, it depends on the course and the company the pay scale also depends. Annually so many companies visit our college

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is good, it varies from 5k to 8k per year which is cheap as compared to other colleges, also our college provides scholarships, I didn't apply but you certainly get scholarships and loans

Campus Life

I would say excellent or the best, free environment, it was fun while studying we had so many societies and also our annual fest Rhapsody which is the best, so many stars such as Darshan Raval, Ankit Tiwari came till now, Also infrastructure and canteen is soo damn good

Admission

The admission process was totally merit-based, now it is on the basis of cuet score. I took admission through merit. The application forms are available online and you just have to fill them out when the merits are released, the further admission process begins, there are obviously reservation benefits for OBC, SC or ST. But now it is on the basis of cuet score and the process of admission is still the same. you just have to submit the documents such as your tenth and twelfth marksheet along with your migration certificate and caste certificate and submit the given amount which is the admission fees of that particular college. In my case, Maitreya college, I have to submit around 8 thousand for the entire amount which is pretty cheap compared to other colleges. hence the admission procedure is really simple and sophisticated, once you are done with the documents submission and fee submission, the college will approve your admission by their authorities and you'll gell an email.

A great learing experience- my college review

I didn’t get into medical college. The curriculum is not that good in my course. Practical should be more focused and research papers. Timing is just 2 hrs for core paper many students exam are left for writing in short duration

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

Placement Experience:

Placements in IGNOU are quite limited compared to regular universities. Since IGNOU is an open and distance learning university, it does not have a strong campus placement system like DU or private colleges. There is a Campus Placement Cell (CPC) that conducts job fairs and recruitment drives at some regional centers, but these are not very frequent and mostly depend on the location. Usually, students who are in their final year or have completed the course can apply, but there is no fixed semester rule since the system is flexible. The companies that visit are not very large in number and vary every year. Some private firms, NGOs, BPOs, insurance companies, and small IT firms have participated in the past. The roles are generally entry-level such as sales, customer support, data entry, insurance advisor, or junior IT support. There are very limited opportunities for core mathematics or research roles through placements. As far as packages are concerned, the average package is usually around ?2.5 LPA to ?4 LPA, but since IGNOU is an open university, it cannot be expected to have the same placement levels as regular colleges with full-time classes. Also, the percentage of students placed is very small because most IGNOU students are either working professionals, homemakers, or people preparing for competitive exams, so placements are not the main focus. Many students use the degree as a qualification while pursuing their own career path outside. I am currently in my 2nd year, so I do not have personal placement experience yet. The data I have mentioned here is based on internet sources and feedback from other IGNOU students. From what I have learned, placements exist but are very limited, and one should not rely only on them for career building.

I have applied to aryabhatta College before Maitreyi College for Women. So comparison to this college Maitreyi colleges stands out on various aspects:- Before 2024 the admission process is entirely dependent on merit list and the cutoffs.
