I had a keen interest in mechanical engineering. So I took production and industrial specification ( it's mechanical+ economics) engineering at NIT JSR. The faculties are very supportive and research-orientated. Every prof has the best experience and they published a lot of research papers in their respective subjects.

Tata Cummins, tata steel, and tata motors come for most of the core jobs like product management. Some big software giants come for the internship in web, app development. Hsbc, exl types of reputated companies come for the data scientist offer. They provide a good stipend depending upon your ability - 10k - 50k.

From the 7th semester, you are eligible for placements. Amazon, Atlassian, hsbc, oracle, Flipkart, tata steel, tata motors, ashok layland, Byju's, fiitjee like giant companies approached the institute for placements. 98.17% placement rate in 2k22 with the average package 16 lpa.

Hostel and mess fee - 48k per semester. Tuition fee - 64k per semester. A lot of scholarships are available for the economically weaker students. A fee waiver is also provided to students who have a family income of less than 5 lakh.

Annual tech fest - ojass, famous all over India, is one of the biggest tech fests in India. Cultural fest - culfest, 2nd biggest cultural fest in north east India. Urja - sports fest, famous for reviving the sporting spirit all over India. The library is available with 15-day book availability for each book, after that, you have to re-issue that book. Nss, unnat bharat abhiyan, debating society, tech teams, root (singing team), beat breakers(dancing team) are available a lot to do in these teams.

Hotels are one of the best all over India. Single rooms are provided after 1st year. The 1st-year hostel is also well equipt and good. Sometimes when any problem is found in the hostel, the college helps us to tackle those. The mess menu and quality of food are good. Affordable college mess and hostel.

You have to get a good rank in the IIT JEE MAINS exam for NIT JSR. Jee exam is the most challenging exam for 12 graders in INDIA. The selection ratio is so small. When nta announces the Jee mains notification apply for it from nta website. Be attentive while filling out the form. Take form confirmation pdf and printout. When nta releases admit card download it, and take it to your exam center. This not JSR is known for its faculty and placement. The overall placement rate is 98% in 2k22. The coding culture of college is awesome. All the sports facilities are available. The hostels are very nice along with messy food
