What Students Say
Likes
- Good peer group and very supportive seniors. Here good culture is followed and seniors also expect us to pass it on to the next batches.
- Infrastructure is quite good and its been continuously developing.
- Placements are the best things about this college.
Dislikes
- Lack of auditorium, though we have a multipurpose hall but an auditorium is a must.
- Lack of gym in the college you need to go outside the campus for it.
- Most of the faculties are good but some newer once are a little nosy and try to get involved with everything you do in the campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose mechanical engineering because I always had an interest in it and also it was the most suitable option based upon my rank. The faculty-student ratio is something around 1:23 which is quite good. Almost all the faculties here have done their MSc and Ph. D.s from top IITs and a few from NITs have good research backgrounds and good teaching methods. Since the 2021 batch many changes have been made to the course curriculum where they focus more on practical knowledge and exams are always conducted on time. Earlier some of the older professors were somewhat lenient in giving marks but the newly appointed faculties are quite strict in checking the answer sheets but give marks if you have written everything correctly.
Internships Opportunities
Great internship opportunities are available here. This year around 175+ 3rd year students got summer internships and 450+ final-year students got 6 months internships. Internship opportunities are available in both the core and non-core sectors.
Placement Experience
Placements are the best thing about this college. The highest package this year was offered by Atlassian which was 83 lakhs per annum to 5 students. Almost all the software companies allow all the circuital branches to sit in the placement sessions and some allow core branches as well. There are a large number of companies that come for core placements. The average package of CS was around 26 lakhs, ECE was around 22 lakhs, EE was 18, Mechanical was 10.5 lakh, Civil was 9.5 lakh, Metallurgy was 9 lakh and for Production branch it was 11 lakh. The total percentage of students getting placed was 98.87 % which is quite extraordinary. 250+ companies visit our college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee per semester for 1st sem is 116000 and for 2nd sem, it is 108000 per semester. Those who have income less than 5 lakh get 2/3 of their fee remitted and those having income less than 1 lakh get full fee remission. The SC and ST candidates get automatic fee remission. There are many state and central government scholarships available and many private companies also provide scholarships based on the economic condition and merit of the student. State Bank of India located on the campus provides loans to students at a lower rate compared to other banks. The best part here is that students can avail both the fee remission as well as scholarship which generally does not happen in other institutions.
Campus Life
Here we have quite a decent campus life I wouldn't compare it with colleges of metro cities but there have been many recent developments in the campus multiple food stalls have been opened, and we have a juice corner, Nescafe, etc which provide good food at an affordable rate. Regular branch fests are held by every department, we have "Cognitio" which is the mechanical branch fest, "Vidhan" which is the civil branch fest, "Pravardhan" which is the electrical branch fest, etc. We have multiple cultural clubs like Rooh which is the music club, Aahwan which is the Dramatics club, Beatbreakers which is the Dance club, Quad Invicta is the fashion and art club. And we have multiple technical teams like "Daksh" which ATVs, Drift Racing team, Pheonix which makes aircraft, Team Rays which makes Solar Electric vehicles, the newly found team "Innoreva" which basically works on IOT and ML and many other teams. "URJA" is our Sports fest, we have Culfest which is a cultural fest, and Ojass which is the Tech fest.
Admission
For being eligible for this college you need to give the Jee Mains exam and secure a percentile of around 96 to be in a safe space to get a branch at this college for a general category student. The admission procedure is quite simple first you have to register yourself on jossa website and after the seat is allocated we need to wait to need regularly look at the college website when the start the admission process we just need to visit the college and pay the remaining fees and document verification takes place if everything is good then hostel is allotted to you and college life begins.
