A good college

Because of my interest in mathematics, I opt for this course. I want to explore about use of maths in ai and machine learning. there is a good student-faculty ratio, there are 2 exams per sem means 4 a year. paper was easy to pass but hard to score a better grade.

The college provides many internship opportunities for the student. BTech and MSc students can apply it from the second last year. there are too many projects about which I didn't know much but I heard it from seniors. Companies like Google Flipkart tcs give. Internship opportunity.

A lot of companies visited every year for placement including Google flipkart myntra tcs and many more. placement percentage is above 90 percentage. The average package will be around 15 lakh but the highest reach up to 50 lakh per annum.

The fee was not much more in comparison to another course. per semester tuition fee is around 7500 which was reasonable. There are no college-specific scholarships but colleges inform about various scholarships from time to time.

Mainly there are 4 fests a year including innovision, cosmo, nitroutsav etc along with a lot of cultural and technical activities. there are many clubs which are divided among 4 societies technical cultural film and music and sport.

Hostels are good. they have their personal study room, gym, cafeteria etc. Room size varies from hostel to hostel. mess food is not that much good as expected. there is a lot of variety but sometimes they compromise in quality.

All candidates who cleared jee main can apply for this course although there are criteria of cut off. applications form can be found on jossa and csab websites. for mathematics in nit rourkela, your rank should be under 60 to 65k. it's about all India rank, not about categories. There are too many rounds for counselling in which you have to fill in college preference.
