Likes

Hostel is well equipped with all facilities like Wi-Fi washing machine etc
Quality of teaching is very good and the teachers will clear all your doubts regarding the topic
People here are very friendly and will help you with whatever you require

Dislikes

Literally in the middle of the jungle so not much of amenitiel
Labs are ok but need to be developed severely and to be equipped with the latest PC's
You can't enjoy much in the North campus as its literally in the middle of the jungle

Course Curriculum Overview

From a child, I was always keen to explore the digital world. So when I reached the age wherein I needed to choose my preferred course, I had no doubt as to which course I wanted. It was computer science and engineering. I was fortunate enough to get my preferred course in a very good college in Karnataka. The faculties here are very helpful and will clear any kind of doubts you have regarding the subject. The way they teach is very easy and understandable. The term exams were moderate and with a certain amount of preparation, you can easily score good marks.

Class Size: 36Course Fees: INR 97000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for me since I was from KCET were around 97k annually. I did not receive any kind of scholarship as such for this degree that I am pursuing. Since I'm staying in the hostel I am also paying an additional 1.1 lakh annually.

Campus Life

Since we are in the North Campus, it is literally in the middle of the jungle so I can't expect much of amenities. Fest happens once a year and it is pretty amazing considering we have auto expos cultural fests etc. classrooms are well equipped with state-of-the-art equipment like smart boards, projectors, etc. We have a proper cricket ground, a cricket net and basketball and a badminton court. Clubs are there in the college and conduct events regularly.

Admission

I took admission to the national institute of Engineering through an entrance exam called KCET(Karnataka common entrance test) in the month of June 2022. The results were announced around August. The cut-off for the National Institute of Engineering was around 4000 for the first round. I got the seat in the first round itself! After a week we came to Mysuru and took the admission. the application form and the verification process were done in Bengaluru at the CET cell in Malleswaram.

Because sirikulam in terms of Reliance and comprehensive or not really good time period is very less so far academy here and we can't have time to study well and are many and I didn't expect this before college joining

My College Story

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

My College Story

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.

Great college with poor placement

Placement Experience:

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

A complete discipline with education

Placement Experience:

The placement are good average packages 8 lakhs highest packages 35 lakhs and the companies include Google ,Microsoft ,service now companies and usually internships are provided as students become eligible for internship after 3rd year percentage of students getting placement 80% my plans still not yet decided

Honest review of The national institute of engineering

I got admission in this college from entrance exam named comedk it is conducted all over India. In comedk questions will b asked on 12th phy chem and maths. I got seat via KCET. KCET is held once a year . It's engineering entrance exam for colleges in Karnataka. After the exam there will be counseling and usually the cutoff for NIE Mysore CSE and ISE is around 5k to 6k .
