The curriculum is good but I feel the vtu syllabus is too basic, even in the higher sems, which should be improved. The electives also were too broad and hence not much useful. In this clg the placement are pretty like 50-60 percent only because the total students in our engineering there are 2500 students. The eligibility criteria for campus is 6.5 cgpa but in our only 1400 students will be eligible for campus placement. In 1400 there will be 650 -700 student get placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose electronics and communications wholeheartedly. Since my childhood, I was very interested in electronics and very humble in learning new topics in digital electronics. I was never a coding guy, so I took electronics and communications as my course. It was an easy choice for me. So class's average strength is around 65 to 70. And the faculty: student ratio is quite good. The teachers are well qualified and most of them are doctorate holders. The timetable is arranged in a manner such that there is smooth conduction of classes for all-year students. The exams are semester wise and there will be internals every month. Questions are better, you have to know little bit contents taught in classes and also from textbooks. It is easy to pass.

I got admission in this college from entrance exam named comedk it is conducted all over India. In comedk questions will b asked on 12th phy chem and maths. I got seat via KCET. KCET is held once a year . It's engineering entrance exam for colleges in Karnataka. After the exam there will be counseling and usually the cutoff for NIE Mysore CSE and ISE is around 5k to 6k .
