Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because Jamshedpur is the heart of metallurgy The faculty: student ratio is good. The faculties are very good and they highly indulge in the research. There is a good relationship between the industries and the institute. Term exams are not quite hectic and easy to score cgpa

Many companies that come to provide jobs to our company and internship which include Tata Mahindra Vedanta Cisco Facebook. The college sends students to technical institutions. There are many startups that also come for the students. There are many educational institutions that provide jobs

Placement Experience

Placements are quite good and in lower branches, the placement is quite high. There are large no of companies that visit the campus. The highest package is 80 lakh and the average package is 15 lakh. Placement Percentage is above 98 percent.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 1 lakh per year Scholarship is available for students. financial assistance can be provided to the student through the college for some startups. Fees is low for the students who avail of fee remission

Campus Life

Three fests in college are urja, culfest, ojass there are a lot of books and journals in the library. The classroom is sir conditioned. The sports and extracurricular activities on the campus are good and there are various sports equipment. There are many technical clubs and startup clubs etc.

Admission

The admission process was done through jossa counselling. The entrance exam was a joint entrance exam. Candidates who qualified for the joint entrance exam with a good rank are eligible for the course. Reservation is for the students who are obc Ncl, SC, ST All is good there in the admission process.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
