Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the metallurgical and materials engineering branch as I was interested in materials science and chemistry. Faculties are experts in their respective fields and are good at delivering information and knowledge. The exams conducted are moderate with relatively easier grading.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am not aware of all the scholarship scene. There was a caste-based scholarship. The fee structure is around 1.15 lakh per semester or around 9 lakhs for the entire engineering curriculum. There may be a few scholarships if you research well.
Campus Life
There are many fests including Sports fests, Cultural Fests, technical fests, and branch fests. The college location is in the outskirts (4km from the city). Lecture halls are equipped with air conditioning and the infrastructure is world-class.
Admission
I took the JEE main entrance exam in the year 2022, where the cutoff percentile was around 89 and the cutoff for the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering branch in NIT Jamshedpur was 95 percentile. (cutoffs mentioned for general category).
