Course Curriculum Overview

Electronics and communication is a branch which has a very good future in India. The faculty-student ratio is moderately good and is about 1:20.About 87% of the teachers in BIT Meara are PhD scholars. The exam difficulty here is moderate to tough.

Internships Opportunities

The internships at BIT Meara are very good. They are during the summer months and as a result, they don't affect our course preparation. Internships offered by Microsoft are very good and provide vast knowledge to us.

Placement Experience

The students become eligible from the fourth year first semester onwards. Many MNCs visit our campus every year such as amazon, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, etc. Almost all the students in the circuital branches get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees here are pretty high and there is an increment of 10% every semester. The returns in the form of placements are one of the pros of this college. There are scholarships here based on CGPA basis.

Campus Life

The annual fest of BIT Meara is BITOTSAV which is in the month of February is awesome and the best among all the other tests here. There is a sports complex on our campus for games. All classrooms are air-conditioned and excellent. There is a big library in our college as well.

Hostel Facilities

In hostel rooms there double beds in first year and single beds in second year.The food here is not too good but adjustable.The hostel rooms are affordable and are located in a good locality.The snacks on the other hand are excellent unlike the lunch and dinner.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

Eligibility is Jee mains exam is the qualifying exam. Admission is done through jossa counselling. Dates will be available on the Jossa website after the advance examination is done. There will be six rounds in total and two csab rounds.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
