Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I want to travel all over the world and experience different culture tradition languages and people. All the faculty members are well-experienced captains and navy officers. The curriculum was entirely different from another engineering course we are studying about navigation marine laws climate types of vessels types of cargoes chart work etc.

A lot of shipping companies are coming to amet campus to hire students Some of the leading shipping companies are MEARSK, GOODWOOD, NYK SHIPPING, OSM, ONE, CHEVRON, EVERGREEN and a lot more offshore companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

When I was studying the fee structure is three lakh fifty thousand yearly including food accommodation library tuition fees we want to add uniform charges and exam fees extra other than yearly fees. Scholarships are normally given to fisherman families and single parent students

Campus Life

When compared with other campuses and colleges it was an academy life we are given proper navy training like parade and assembly in the morning musters in the evening and PT in the early morning NSS, NCC and more social groups and clubs are actively available on campus

Hostel Facilities

The hostel room was well cleaned and tidy all the facilities like the bathroom corridors rooms are cleaned on a daily basis Breakfast lunch evening tea and dinner are given in a proper and organised manner staff are available to clean our plates and table too.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

The admission process is through Amet University Entrance Exam The entrance Exam is conducted online at designated Exam centres all over India. All the details about the application form, fees and date are updated on the university website. Scholarships are available to reserved students after the admission procedure is completed.

Good Learning Environment But need more Facilities

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc computer science because I'm interested in IT jobs and want become a developer. The syllabus is useful for real world learning and it covers important basics. i found subjects like c programming very helpful for understanding core concepts. the curriculum is decent but it needs more practical sessions and better lab facilities. the software and systems in the lab should also be updated. we follow a semester system, and the exams test both theory and practical knowledge. overall the course is good, but more hands on training would make it even better.

Never go behind the hype giving by agencies

Nice environment, Student support system, living in a whole different world.

I applied to a few colleges like Anna University and SRM but got confirmed admission only at AMET University. I chose AMET because of its strong focus on maritime studies and practical training, which other colleges lacked. I faced rejection elsewhere mainly due to lower entrance exam scores. AMET’s admission process requires passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, and accepts scores from TNEA and other engineering entrance exams, with TNEA being the most preferred. Structured comfort and seafaring discipline.

First off all, i didn't apply to any other colleges, then for addmission, they took very long to intimate the dates, again and again I was calling one of the faculty and was asking for dates. Management is responsible for providing information.to the students. While admission, first they asked to pay an advance amount of rs. 25000/- from the course fees i.e rs. 300000/- to confirm my seat. Then they asked to pay hostel fees of rs. 40000/- which was not available then they asked to pay hostel fees of rs 50000/- to confirm the hostel.
