Course Curriculum Overview
When I started doing this course, I did a lot of research and looked at a lot to find out if there was another right course or not.This course is very good although it is online but we get the degree offline only and convocation takes place. Along with this we learn all the computer languages like python, Java, C, C++ Etc. IIT Madras Online Degree exams are not of much length as each exam lasts for 1 hour.If you have chosen two subjects then your exam will be of 2 hours. If you have chosen four subjects then your exam will be of 4 hours.
Internships Opportunities
You can get a lot of internship programs in this course if you perform well, this course is online and everything will be done online, you will get to learn a lot, there is not much surety about the internship But placement is confirmed.
Placement Experience
I have joined the college recently and I don't know much about placements but if we look at the old records then we will know which college has very good placement level. Many companies come to this college and provide placement to good students with very good packages.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for this course vary according to the category and family income.It is different for SC, different for general, different for ST and the fee is reduced according to the family income. In this course, the fees are for the subjects and not for the whole year. Your fees will be based on the number of subjects you take.The fee for one subject is ?8000 and if you are from the general category then your fee will be 8000 and If you are from SC/ST category then you will get a reduction in your fees. For SC category, up to 50% of your fees can be waived.This means you will have to pay Rs 4000 for one subject even if your family income is low So your fees can be reduced further. This will take you the whole course in 3.5 lakhs. If you get a free waiver, you may have to pay up to 50% less money. It is a very good thing that its fees are reasonable so that even middle class students can get good education from IIT Madras.
Campus Life
This course is online which is being provided by IIT Madras and along with it many activities are also conducted.This course organizes very good festivals online and offline. Recently an event took place called Marghaaji which was an online festival in which many children participated and performed very well. And there is also an offline festival which we call Paradox. In this, all the students get a chance to visit the IIT Madras campus and participate in various activities there and show their skills. There is so much in this course that along with studies there is also a lot of fun.
Admission
I chose this college because this college provides us such online courses through which we can learn very well about data science, computer language and computer science. This course is divided into 3 levels.The first level is federation level, the second level is diploma level and the third level is degree level.When we complete all these levels, our convocation takes place and we get the degree from IIT Madras. This college also provides us placements, if we score well then we may get good placements. So I chose this course and this course was provided by IIT Madras which is a very good thing in itself.
Faculty
The most important thing about this course is that we are taught by professors from IIT Madras.Who teaches very well in simple language.Personally, I liked all the professors very much, they explain every topic in simple language. We have three exams in a semester which we call quiz 1, quiz 2 and end term exam.If you attend lectures well and study well and practice questions then you can easily score well.If students do not study well or the lectures are not conducted well, then they fail. This course is very good, we get to learn a lot from IIT MADRAS,which is a big thing in itself.
Night Life
This course is an online one and its nightlife can be told in Paradox event itself and the nightlife is very good, it is a very big campus. During this Paradox event, we stay in hostels and all this is provided by IIT Madras. We are taken care of very well and we have a lot of fun.
