Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Electronics and communication engineering as it is an emerging branch. In me, some great opportunities will open up in future. The faculty: student ratio is about 1: 40 which is I think good. The faculty members are very qualified and some of them are great in their teaching method. About exams, there is only 1-semester exam and 4 continuous assessments.
Internships Opportunities
I really don't know much about this topic as I am in my 2nd semester only. As soon as I would know about this topic I would edit it and review it. But in general, I have heard that companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini comes
Placement Experience
From 3rd year I guess students become eligible for placement. My plans after getting the degree are sir for placements and also to prepare myself for the gate exam through which I would like to M - tech in a reputed college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is okayish. It is compatible with the other engineering colleges in Kolkata. Whereas it is lower than other famous private colleges of India like kiit etc. Also higher than govt. Engineering colleges.
Campus Life
The annual cultural and technical fests both are just awesome. The technical fest PARIDHI is one of the biggest tech fests in West Bengal. Both fests are generally conducted in the month of March or April. The library has a wide variety of books and the reading room is also quite large and also my go-to place. The classrooms have whiteboards, projectors, 9 to 10 fans, charging points, wi-fi access and the best thing is the big windows which ventilate the room very well. MCL and MSL are two big leagues conducted in college. These are the Meghnad Saha Cricket League and Meghnad Saha Soccer League respectively. The clubs run by students are Megatronix- technical club, Sangam and Yuva - cultural clubs and Rotaract Club.
Admission
One needs to appear for the WBJEE exam to get an admission in this college. Then minimum eligibility is to pass 12th with 45% having subjects - Maths , Chemistry and physics. For the application of wbjee one can refer to the official website wbjeeb.nic.in . The application starts from December. The improvement I want in the admission process is that I think the counselling results should declared a little faster.
