Good college

The college is very good at everything except that it has a little small campus and average placement. The wifi problem was solved too this year thanks to our new director. Overall the college management is very good. MSIT is currently the only ragging-free college in Kolkata. So if you want to make good memories, study well, know your subject and wanna be decently placed and still enjoy your college life with your friendly seniors along then MSIT is the right place for you.

This was a very good college. The teachers are very good as well as everyone's behavior is so good. It is a well-reputed college under makeup. The place is near ruby. Here we get good quality of education at very low cost as per other management colleges.

Now have a choice of professional as well as degree courses that are suited to various industries. Among such professional courses popular among students is Bachelor of Business Administration or BBA course. The commonest perception among most Indian students that BBA is lower than much-hyped Master in Business Administration (MBA) is wrong. The two courses are totally different in almost every aspect and unrelated.

Yes, Training and Placement Cell at MSIT is a well-established cell and conducts training activities for the final year students mainly focusing on Career planning, Personality Development Industry- Institute Interaction, off-site training, guest lectures, Industrial visits, Campus placements, Entrepreneurship Development. In view of the above Training and Placement Cell conducted various programs like Group Discussions, Mock Interviews, and Aptitude test etc to encourage students and to develop their skills. With a view to the bridge, the gap between industry requirements and academic curriculum, experts from the various fields of engineering and management are invited to enable the students to know and understand the requirements of industries and accordingly prepare themselves for the future.

The academic year 2015-2016 has been an eventful and landmark year for the Training and Placement Cell of MSIT. Campus Recruitment for this academic year started on 3rd September 2015. As on today Sixty Seven (67) companies with Seventy Four (74) campus drives, both national and multinational, from all over India interviewed our Engineering students either for direct recruitment or through internship followed by placement. We were fortunate enough to host companies across sectors, with TCS, Amazon, Persistent, I GATE-CAPGEMINI, ZYCUS, CGI, Kreeti Technologies, SAP Lab, Johnson Controls, Mu Sigma, Subex, Geo-tech, TEKsystems, Labvantage, Yodlee, TOUGHTworks, Hitachi, Robert Bosch, Idea Cellular, Altimetric, Stup Consultancy, SKSL, Simplex Infrastructure, Era Group, Polycab to name a few. The highest package offered so far had been 5.25 lpa by Yodlee.

ORSA 16, Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology, Professional Development Event, The main celebration every year are Footprints. the freshers welcome ceremony. next comes paridhi the inter-college technical fest. Several inter-department and intra college events occur such as cricket league, Rotaract week etc. There are also many clubs within the college. Tech Xtra (intra technical fest), Sportaract and a lot more fests are organized. The biggest fest is our inter-college technical fest Paridhi. Average footfall is just huge. Organizing was well and college authorities supported a lot.

Extracurricular activities are there from time to time. One has to just keep up with the concerned seniors to know all about them. Campus life is good. The campus is not much big although. The gender ratio is 5:1 male vs female. This University excels at extracurricular activities sports competitions robotics debates etc. Robotics events are organized as "innovation" and college students participate in the event with enthusiasm.

Alumni network is very good. The passed out students are so good that they still visit the college and give some lessons to juniors. The seniors are helpful too and help when the juniors have any problem. The campus is also ragging free so the juniors are free to associate with seniors.

On one or two certain days we even have two labs a day. so those days are a bit tiring but on other days, the routine is well paced giving students time to relax their brains. Exams are there always. You need to be prepared. As the semester starts the internals starts in a month then again next month internals and then in 2 weeks we get a lab exam and then followed by main sem exams.

Admission to the B.Tech program is based on rank secured in WBJEE examination. Admission is also done through JEE Main scores. Admission to the M.Tech program is done on the basis of rank secured by candidates in GATE. Admission to the BBA and BCA courses is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying 10+2 level examination. Admission to the MCA program is don On the basis of JECA (Joint Entrance admission in Computer Applications) Admission to the MBA program is done on the basis of rank secured by candidates in National level examinations viz. CAT, MAT or JEMAT

MSIT has immensely qualified and experienced faculty in teaching the courses. They are very interactive. The standard of teaching is high but they always teach keeping in mind so that the average and below average students also can understand their lessons.
