Course Curriculum Overview

Basically, I am interested in entrepreneurship and computer science so that's why I think this course is the best for me. And here in my college MSIT, our faculty members are helpful and everything is fine.

Class Size: 41Course Fees: INR 130000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Here fee structure for btech is in any course is 5.5 Lakhs ( 65k/semester). You can get scholarships like SVMCM (if u eligible) ..NSP (if u eligible) and there are some other scholarships also just you have to research.

Campus Life

The campus of our college is too small. The annual fest of meghnath Saha Institute of technology is ADVAYA. Tech Fest is conducted by Megatronix Club. Also, there are too many clubs and overall social life is good.

Admission

I took addmission from wbjee. In wbjee I got my addmission under tfw kota. TFW is basically typically a scholarship. if you got addmission under tfw ur semester fees will decrease and only 1.2k/sem will be ur semester fees, otherwise normally in This course u have to pay 65k/sem. And cut-off of this collage on my course is GMR 30000.

IIT KGP: The kgpian way

Placement Experience:

4 yr btech students are eligible for cdc internship from the starting of their 3rd yr(5th sem) and for placement 7th sem. 5 yr dual degree students are eligible for cdc internship from the starting of 4th yr(7th sem) and for placement 9th sem. So many different profile companies came for placements like amazon, google, ibm, apple, l&t, wipro, infosys, texas intrument, etc. Highest package was 3cr and average is about 20-25 lakhs. Insightful Review - Revealing about campus life and academics.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from 7th semeter. Companies visited till now are : tejes - 9lpa, keysite - 7lpa, streebo - 5lpa and a few other product based companies with average pakage offered about 3lpa. Higest pakage - salesforce (32 lpa) off campus, keysite (7lpa) on campus. Last year 60% of total students from final year got placed. My plans is to purusue a higher degree as placement scene of your college is not that great and also i have intrest in ai/ml so i want to study future and dive more deep into its concepts

The course curriculum is not that different from other colleges. At the beginning or 1 st semester we are made to complete the bridge course which basically includes stuff we read in classes 11 and 12. But then also they can't teach properly the already read topics.

Good college

The college is very good at everything except that it has a little small campus and average placement. The wifi problem was solved too this year thanks to our new director. Overall the college management is very good. MSIT is currently the only ragging-free college in Kolkata.
