I have chosen the computer science and engineering department in this college because of the placement. All faculty are very supportive and dedicated. Most of the faculty have done their Ph.D. from a reputed institute like IIT nits. Monthly tests are taken besides the semester examination.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 412000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

It will take approx. 410000 to complete B.Tech degree in computer science and engineering branch from the Academy of Technology College. Or any other department of this college. Scholarships are provided in this college like the Swami Vivekananda scholarship, oasis scholarship, etc. And also some core branch scholarship is here for the electrical, civil, and Mechanical branches of this college.

Campus Life

An area of more than 20 acres the college has modern workshops different clubs, ICT rooms, the library central library, innovation center, also there will be conducted an annual fest which is called a tech fest usually in March or April. Approx. more than 80000 + boots are in the central library. There is also so many class like sports club hardware club robotics club science club. Meri sports tournaments are also conducted here like cricket badminton volleyball football etc.

Admission

Admission to the Academy of Technology College can be taken through the West Bengal joint entrance exam or the joint entrance exam you can also take admission by direct admission but it will cost more you have to be under 20000 rank in WBJEE to get admission through WBJEE counseling in CSE branch.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

1)I applied to TMSL and heritage insitute of technology but i choose AOT over them because in tmsl there are no hostels and in heritage i got ece. 2)Admission to our college is through wbjee, jee mains,JELET (for lateral). no need to worry about admission process you just need all require documents and proofs to get admission. 3)From heritage i got rejection because i don't get cse there.(my rank was 10k). 4)mostly students came here through wbjee in 2025 cutoff of cse this year was approx 30 to 35k....Read More
