Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course curriculum is based on credit systems which can be clearly understood by seeing the syllables of a particular subject. My reason for choosing this course was that I was only interested in Maths from the beginning. Truly say, Faculty, varies from college to college. But I should mention here faculty in DU is highly educated and experienced however exceptions are everywhere. The majority of the faculty I have seen is those who have added Dr. Title with their name, which is enough for knowing about their qualification. Faculty, student ratio here is too much large i.e 1 professor on 40 students. Getting passed in DU is a too-easy process here, really.

Internships Opportunities

2

There is an internship opportunity in each and every college at DU almost. Particularly in my college, there is an e-placement cell from where we get information about different paid and unpaid internships. Companies like Amazon, Gillette, Wipro, etc. usually visit every year. A monthly stipend of almost 10k used to be offered by companies for max 2 months.

Fees and Financial Aid

Because Delhi University is a central government-funded institute so the fee structure of its colleges is not too much. My 1st-year fees were? 21820 total which is too less in comparison to the facilities provided. Colleges of DU also provide scholarships for its students that can be named as financial assistance. Also, one can also apply for a loan through college if he/she is unable to pay fees and clear living expenses. Jobs opportunities differ from course to course like economics hons students get more placements than others. If I talk about placements in maths, then it is a harsh truth that only 2-4 students get placed every year ( I m talking about my college). So, kindly don't take maths hons. for placement purposes.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus Life at DU in me is Best among the Best. Here, you are free from everything. You can freely work on your skills here and Colleges are also going to support you through their societies and clubs. Each and every college of DU organizes its fest every year which is best in itself. Usually, it is organized in the months of February and March. Again, the infrastructure of Du colleges is different from each other. However, no college has bad infrastructure. Those who have old buildings are working for re-innovation. If I talk about college libraries, then for me there is no book that we cannot get from Library. Also, sports facilities can be judged by this line: Almost all common genes are there in colleges and there are tournaments or matches which are being organized at college levels, University levels, etc. There are many social groups of students e.g Unity in my college. However, I never joined anything.?

Admission

When I got admission to Delhi University (2021 Batch), it was on the basis of Class 12th marks. It was the last batch of DU UG courses whose admissions were taken on a merit base. Now, from 2021 onwards merit system in UG courses has been replaced by Common Entrance Test i.e, CUET. The admission process is smooth.

Other Applied Colleges

Aligarh Muslim University - [AMU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)

Because I knew from the very beginning that there will be more chances on me to explore things if I get admit in DU due to its best location while I can't get these facilities in AMU , Aligarh.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of their graduation. Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.
