Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course because I was interested in it and it was the best course+college combination, I was getting at my rank so it was a sure-shot decision, to be honest. Faculty to student ratio is ideal here and the faculties are good enough to teach us, they are super qualified and well prepared for the lectures they take, and adding to that, most of them are experienced enough so we don't feel any burden of exams and all. The teachers here are highly qualified, the teachers are cooperative and use a two-way communication lecture here there is a healthy discussion of topics between the students and the teachers, additionally, we also have technical labs and language labs to further enhance our grasping and technical skills which will help us in the practical world. Examinations are timely and you need to study to pass and score good marks but there is no need for the extensive study 1-2 hours a day is good enough to secure an 8.5+ CGPA if you encounter good teachers.

Placement Experience

5

Placement is the main criterion for which we came to college other than to mingle and to have life support systems aka friends, so not drowning in emotions, let us get straight to the point, placements in NIT Jamshedpur are one of the best in India and among top 2 in the core sector as tata nagar or commonly called Jamshedpur is a hub of industries thanks to Tatas, our college is very near to the industrial area and often students get placed. Let's talk about the software sector, our cse department is one of the highest package-grabbing departments in the whole of India, and for this reason only, many people from foreign countries come to study at NIT JAMSHEDPUR. OUR Placement rate is close to 95% so much much much more than most of the colleges. My plans after the degree are to explore the whole world with my dream partner and live a life worth living.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are high to be honest, in a government college, we think to get world-class facilities at low fees but fees are high, but you have no need to worry, SBI gives special loans to nit students with a low rate of interest and some state governments also give loans to poor students. Fees hike policy is not good for us general middle-class students as we have to struggle to make ends meet and then we also got to have laptops and all which will cost you at least 40-50 thousand if you want to do Photoshop and editing on it but fee remission is there to protect us if your family income is less than 5 lakh rupees, you can avail the fee remission and if you belong to Scheduled castes or Scheduled tribes, you don't have to worry about fees, you are fully remitted of tuition fees. I personally belong to the general category and most of the scholarships are either given to the reserved category students or to the girl students so I personally feel bad due to the fee hike policy of the government.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college is having many many fests like the annual fest named culfest and branch fets like technica, we have fests in 1-2 months regularly, our campus life is pretty chill, with the availability of ready-to-eat shops and nice sports facilities like volleyball, badminton, lawn tennis, table tennis, cricket, hockey, Javelin throw, chess, etc. You will never get bored here. Our classrooms are super modern with ultra-high facilities that even some IITs don't have. There are so many clubs like Daksh, raze, phoenix, phocus, beat breakers, Invicta, etc., and events are held on a regular basis. There are many clubs that are student run like the team INNOREVA. You will get clubs for everything you wanna do but what if you don't find any club that you are interested in, no worries, you can obviously make one for yourself, most of the clubs came into existence by this thought only, want a quizzing club, you got quite, want a photography club, you got phocus, want to act , you got aavahn club.

Admission

I took JEE mains and secured sufficient marks to get admission into prestigious institutions in INDIA. I found NIT Jamshedpur through a YouTube video and got attracted to it, filled in my counseling choices in josaa and csab, and got selected here at NIT Jamshedpur. You can find the application form and details about fees and dates at the official site of NTA, the national testing agency. The admission process is, in my opinion, working perfectly but there are many parameters that can be changed like the verification part and the prediction of first-round choices, accuracy is lacking there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.
