Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choose this course because I want to do research in Physics after my PhD. So i think to do this course to learn more about my research career. The faculty-student ratio is quite good here. Faculty are well qualified but only a few faculty have good teaching methods. Here there is an exam every week. It is quite bad that every week, you may have exams, quizzes, or assignments.

Internships Opportunities

1

From the M.Sc course, there was no internship through the college. But it has just started this year. So, commenting on this will be useless. I got a good professor and did my project with ease and learning too.

Placement Experience

2.5

The students become eligible for placements in the last semester. Primal Group, Allen Career Institute, Akash Institute, etc a lot of companies came for placement. This is a time of recession. So, very few students get placements. My plan is to join the coaching industry as a teacher after my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee here is not high not low. But the main hike in the fee is in our hostel fee and the mess fee. It's quite high that even upper-middle-class people will be afraid of this. Yes, there are certain scholarships like MCM for ST/SC category people. No scholarship for the general category.

Campus Life

3.5

Rendevous and TRYST are annual fests on campus and are the attraction of many colleges in Delhi. Tech fest happens twice a year. Books are available in the library in large amounts but I did not use them as this time is of reading books in pdf. You will get regular newspapers and journals in your Hostel. The classroom will have both kinds of board, blackboard, and whiteboard and there will also be a smart board with a projector. I have no interest in sports. So I can't comment on sports.

Hostel Facilities

3

The room has a bed, a table, and a chair. You have to keep a bottle to fill with water on every floor. Meal quality is good compared to what you get outside the campus. The menu will be decided by the students. There is always less availability of hostels for any not btech students.

Admission

Eligibility:- B.Sc/B.tech in any branch of science, good score in JAM exam The application form is available on the JAM website. The application fee is Rs1000 and starts in September and October. There are reservation benefits in the JAM cut-off for OBC and ST/SC. The admission process is good. There is no need for any improvement.

Other Applied Colleges

IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology - [IITB] | m.sc physics

I should have more JAM score for this college.

Campus placements are offered but I am still in my first year so I have no idea. Students usually go for higher studies (PhD) after master's. Clearing entrances becomes a task. They d offer campus placements it's not that intense as it should be.

Placements occur in two phases first in 3rd semester for Phase 1 and then Phase 2 in 4th semester. Percentage of people placed is low but the package and companies they got is excellent. The packages offered from 7.5 LPA to as high as 26 LPA. A lot of big companies visit the campus.
