Vibrant Campus Life with lively and enthusiastic students, fests, exhibitions and an active student union voted for by the students.
Good academic infrastructure with laboratories, classrooms, library, cafetaria, ground, basketballa and tennis court, lecture halls and auditorium
Stands up to its reputation by NIRF ranking

Dislikes

Absence of hostels as students have to go for expensive PGs and hostels outside campus
Dysfunctional washrooms and water points
Constant renovation and construction around campus

Course Curriculum Overview

BSc in Life Science has three core subjects, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry along with Value Addition Course, Skill Enhancement Course, Ability Enhancement Course and General Elective which the students can choose once admitted.

Internships Opportunities

Internships come from placement cell. Students can go for internships from the first semester. Internships come from companies around Delhi - NCR and sometimes big companies too give opportunities. Most opportunities offer Remote Working.

Placement Experience

Students from Science Courses rarely go for placements and prefer higher studies. But placement opportunities are given in the last semester of the last year to most students from the Arts and Commerce courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

For BSc (Prog) Life Science, the fees are Rs. 15725 which includes the Tuition Fee. Apart from this there are no fees asked by the college in regard to admission. A departmental fee is asked for by the student union of one's course.

Campus Life

There is no hostel facility. There are well-equipped laboratories for Physics. Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Microbiology and Computers. There is a college cafeteria with a Nescafe outlet and Gargi Bookshop. The library can be accessed by all students with the library card.

Admission

The admission happened through CUET UG conducted by NTA. For my course, Biology, Chemistry and Physics along with other compulsory subjects were to be examined. The University of Delhi announces the opening of the CSAS portal after CUET exam were you can choose your preferred colleges under DU. Based on your performance, the college according to your preference ranking and score will be assigned.

Placement Experience:

For statistics IT companies like Dell, Wirpo and others have job offers and roles. 4-5 lakhs is what we were offered and get easily too. For a student getting graduated in just 60k, getting 10x of it as initial placement, nothing more can be asked for.

Gargi College defines greatness!

CUET is the best thing that has happened as otherwise when it was on percentage basis our college cut-offs were 96 percent minimum. Luckily now the benchmark is set on 90 and rest all on CUET score. Gari College has given endless memories!!

I obviously like every girl in India wanted LSR but 790 was the cut-off for LSR and for Gargi it was 772. I missed my mark by 6 numbers or percentile or else I would have been reviewing LSR currently. Gargi College has good faculties!!

Admissions process of DU is good till CUET, the counselling round are actually quite hectic as within minutes we have to decide and lock the college. Gargi College is Gorgeous!!

In January the forms for CUET are out and we all have to fill them, whoever wants admission in DU. It's really sad that cut-off for reserved students is 610-620 while for general category students like me has to score in access of 765 to get admission for any courses in Gargi.
