Remarks

College management was very good and i am proud to be an alumni of that college Bravo NIT Jamshedpur.

Entrance Preview

Exam taken AIEEE this is a very good college in terms of academics and placement many core companies especially TATA Group come for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

Superb curriculum like Mathematics / Thermodynamics / Engineering Drawing / Production Engineering the courses are very up to date as per the current curriculum the electives are very much helpful in understanding the subject.

Placement Experience

TATA Motors/Maruti Suzuki/Tata Cummins/Jusco/Tata Timken/Tata Pigments/TCS and many more offer varying from 4lakhs to 16 lakhs the companies are very much helpful for the students to understand the corporate culture and help in learning the corporate etiquette.

College Events

UTKARSH is the cultural fest the college organize every yea also now a days the college is organizing many technical fests with good budget many eminent person coming and sharing their experience the college is doing very best now.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee was about Rs 7500 per semester including fees and hostel fees and bus fees only food has to be paid extra the amount is very nominal if considered against the facilities.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have availed a govt interest free loan stipend as a scholar student the loans can be availed from the Banks very easily as this is a Central Govt College.

Campus Life

Super atmosphere and brilliant students very good competition spirit for growing in career wise and professionalism wise the extracurricular activities are superb for the students.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are very clean and there are adequate rooms to accommodate all students the rooms are cleaned everyday and bathrooms are also cleaned really feel like home away from home.

Alumni meets are conducted regularly and they are very helpful for the students who are currently studying the experience shared by the seniors are superb and very helpful.

Exams are like more structured way exams are conducted on regular intervals and very good for the students to keep updated throughout the year.

The faculties are mostly PhD holders and having lot of teaching experience their teaching style are very helpful and full of examples which will help any individual to grow in his career as well as in personal life as a good human being and professional.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

Students become eligible for internship after 4th semester , after 6th semester the companies start coming for regular placement For cse the average was around 20 lpa with median being 16-17 lpa Companies that generally visit are - atlassian, Amazon, flipkart , BNY Mellon, cisco, Texas Instruments etc Around 140 offers were made and in a batch of 120, 100 have secured placement Placement percentage is around 92% Highest package - 65 lpa atlassian (on campus) 1.23 cr rubrik (off campus) Lowest package - 7 lpa Average - 18 - 20 lpa

Placement Experience:

on every occasion they will charge the students, there is no good placement, every year they increase the exam fee, students are not regular its poor then government colleges just pay penalty and your attention will be full, its like correspondence course they are running huge but and regular power cuts unhealthy canteens, political motivated administration and management. There expenditure in infrastructure is huge which is best for love birds its like park or garden. Overall all not dedicated to education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculise fully designed on national education policy 2020. Focuses more on extracurricular activities than core subjects. Because reply is designed on the basis of UGC guidelines which is a good thing for different competitive exams that are design by UGC. I will say semesters are to short that all till now my all four semesters has been glitter in about 4 months each that should be of duration of 6 months.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . 1.I choose this college because of its reputation over campus placements. It has high placement percentage. 2. I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
