Course Curriculum Overview

Teaching faculty members of our institute are very helpful and well-qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is very useful and it helps to gather knowledge and excel in the respective field.

There are many companies that visited this year for internships. some major companies are Amazon, Intuit, Salesforce, Atlassian and many more. Core companies come here in huge numbers. Mostly the internships were offered on the software development side.

Placement Experience

The placement is decent here. Almost companies from all sectors visit here whether it is core companies or It companies. Last year about 320+ companies visit the campus and about 850+ jobs were offered to the young minds of the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for BTech honours in any stream is 1.88 lakhs per annum. The fee is not very high compared to other NITs. It also offers a loan facility and scholarship facility and one gets full assistance in getting a loan or scholarship.

Campus Life

The campus life at NIT Jamshedpur is just awesome. Hostels at NIt Jamshedpur are one of the best hostels in India. CCTV cameras are installed for the protection of the students. The classroom and labs are well-equipped and well-maintained.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is too good and the food is just awesome. Having basketball court and tennis court. Mess is quite affordable (RS. 18000 for 6 months). In NIT Jamshedpur taking hostels is compulsory and the distance to the main building is just 1.5 km.

Hostel Fee: INR 121000 per year

Admission

The student must qualify for 10+2 in science with more than 75%. She must qualify for JEE mains and the qualifying candidates have to apply for JOSAA counselling. Reservation of SC, ST, and OBC is also allowed. There is also a girls' quotas for taking admission.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
