The admission process is much similar to all the NIT and this requires the student to qualify for the JEE MAIN exam in the first place. Then comes the counseling process held by the authority called JOSAA on a national wide sector. The students are given all the eligible choices to select and people generally find out their choices online. Two mock allotments are given which mostly predict the allotted college. This is followed by the original allotment which is generally of 6 rounds. Therefore after all the procedure is handled by the college administration.

This course (ECE) is mostly related to the software competitive world and this also differentiates us from the IT-placed students. We have both choices to choose from, like the core ECE and the Software development. The faculty helps the students to do some research projects and are very cooperative. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:25 approx. The scheduling of exams is now a bit out of order due to the pandemic. But in general, it follows a very good path and all the holidays scheduled are very timely and relaxing.

This year there were a lot of internship opportunities and including Amazon, Atlassian, Capgemini, Accenture, etc. and the stipend varies from 70 thousand per month to 1.5 L per month. Mostly the internships were offered on the software development side and they include web development and analytics. Also, there were some CORE interns offered.

The placements in here mostly take place from the 7th semester, but the students get very good internship opportunities from the 5th semester, which might convert into a good PPO. This year there were almost 250+ companies visited and the offers made were more than 900. The highest package is around 80 LPA and the average placement package is around 18 LPA. The placement percentage is around 98% and with good opportunities.

All the colleges in this tier are charged almost in the same manner. They mostly charge around 1.8 - 2.3 L per annum. And obviously, there is a hike in the fee of our college for the last 2 years, approximately 10 thousand rupees variation per year. And there are a few scholarship opportunities provided, depending on the student's merit and financial state.

The fests that are organized in our college are top-notch, the technical fest (OJASS) is the second largest technical fest in eastern India. All the clubs actively participate during these fests and celebrate the best. Coming to the library, it's well equipped with the books required for the curriculum and all-round development. The classrooms are newly constructed and the students are provided with the best amenities available out there. The sports and cultural events might disappoint you a bit because they still need to be developed and taken care of. Teams and clubs are actively run by the students and they have a very strong working student council that looks for the overall student's needs.

All the basic needs are covered in the hostel and regularly well maintained. The mess food is a bit compromising, no matter if the quality is good, but the menu is the same all year, so it becomes hard to survive. Hostel registration is done only once( at the time of admission) and is a very easy and small process. Students are guided by their respective personnel.
