Remarks

First, to get into this University you have to apply for an entrance exam known as WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam) which releases its application form in the last week of December every year and conducts its exam in the last month of April(tentatively). After qualifying for the exam you are eligible for central counseling as per your General Merit Rank (GMR) which decides which college you will get into. So this is how you get your admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are mainly 3 examinations in each semester namely 2 class tests and 1 final exam for respective semesters. The exams take place pretty timely and if you attend the classes attentively you shall not have difficulty in passing the exams.

Internships Opportunities

Just like the placements, the internships offered are also marvelous because several internships are given out of the country too. Maximum of these internships are high paying with ae companies offering Pre- Placement- Offers(PPO).

Placement Experience

The placement offered by our university is one of the best in the country if we compare it with the IITs. Because the placements it is providing at such a cheap fee structure are unimaginable. Being a student of the mechanical engineering department I've seen my seniors get placements in different companies with a nice salary and job security in both Core and Non-core sectors. I wish to opt for jobs in core companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of our University is nominal in the country i.e. Rs. 2500/- per year which counts up to only Rs. 10,000/- for the entire course. If you belong to a financially deprived family then you can avail of the TFW (Tuition Fees Waiver) quota. Some of the scholarships that you can apply for are SVMCM, Siemens, etc.

Campus Life

So basically our campus is one of the best campuses visited by me because it has a diverse culture and heritage mixed into it which gives us a different and happy enjoyable campus life. Basically, there are many clubs in the University like Motorsports Club, Science Club, Photography Club, Mountaineering Club, etc. But out of all of you who are interested in automobiles, you can opt for the Motorsports Club as it is too much information and it provides you with practical hands-on experience.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The admission took place on the basis of a merit-based entrance examination. The seats are limited; therefore, only the top 15 students out of almost 800-1000 who appeared for the exam were selected. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
