Remarks
The admission process was something that needed a lot of patience, first of all, it is a privilege to be in a DU college but we all know what is the competition here, first, I applied for the course through the university's official website, the eligibility was simple, any 12th pass can apply for it, later it'll be decided on his marks that he'll be able to make it or not. So the university then released cut-off lists, 5 of them. I got the admission through the third merit list and because of my obc reservation I was able to get it in 1 or 2 percent less. Nonetheless, I got it. The admission process has now been changed and from 2022 the cuet is responsible for admission and not your 12th marks, so overall it is a good change in my opinion.
Course Curriculum Overview
To prepare myself for civil services examinations, I chose the combination of history and political sciences in the BA Programme. The student ratio in my college is mostly male-dominated. But people come here from all the areas of the country, so it's 65:35. The faculty is great and knowledgeable and despite not much high-quality architecture, you will find the professors very intriguing. The term exams were according to the annual calendar released by the university and even if you seriously study for 15 days you can pass easily.
Internships Opportunities
The internship provided by the college is poor but various internship programs are promoted by the college and posters are sent to the college groups. One of them that I applied for was an internship program for the seat of vice-chancellor, managing official work in which you have to give 8-10 hours per week and get 5-10k for 6 months.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is quite good, it's a government-operated institution so the fee is lower than usual so that everyone can afford it. The scholarship is also available, the forms are available every year and the freshers have to fill them out along with the agreement of the administration staff the rest depends on if you're approved for it by the center. I did not apply for it.
Campus Life
The campus life is great, a bit less than the north campus colleges but the guys are great here the atmosphere is good, you will find friendly people and staff, and the fest and events held here are the best things I got in the college. The college societies bind the college together, I, myself registered in 3 of them and I am enjoying every bit of it along with learning new every time I work with the society people. The sports ground is very big, and various events are held throughout the year. The library is decent you can find all your needed books here and the official work is also very quick here. There are two buildings, two campuses, old and new, the new one is better than the other but both of them have great greenery grounds and places to spend time with friends.
