Remarks

Clear the jee mains exam and apply for josaa counseling. If not obtained then you can apply for csab. If you are from outside the country, you can apply for dasa. There are reservations available in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I like electronics and that's the reason why I have chosen this branch. Here in the college, the placements for ece are good that's why I have chosen this college. Mid-sem and end-sem are the major and only exams.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are available for the non-core side only. There are no internships available for the core side. Amazon and Atlassian are the major recruiters for internships. Every year approximately 25% of the whole college gets internships.

Placement Experience

The placements in the college are so good. There is an average package of 14 lakhs overall. For ece it's 18 lakhs. Now there is running the highest package of 80 LPA. But you can get all these packages on the non-core side only.

Fees and Financial Aid

1.04 lakhs overall fee for a semester. 77000 approximately for the college fees. And the remaining fee is for the hostel and mess fee. Scholarships are available for a student with an income of fewer than 5 lakhs. The full fee reimbursement for scheduled castes and tribes.

Campus Life

Life on the campus is chill and joyful. There are so many clubs and teams in the college. According to your interest, you can apply for any team. There will be an induction process for the team. You can be on so many teams.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
