Remarks

I took admitted to this college through Direct Admission. You can ask for the application form in the reception and the receptionist will guide you further. The total tuition fees were 484000 (excluding hostel, and mess fees since I did not need them). You can also avail of benefits like scholarships, Tuition fee waivers, etc. You can also get admission through WBJEE and JEE Mains if you come under the required rank.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college faculties are well qualified and will also help you. This college follows the curriculum of MAKAUT since the college is affiliated with it. The curriculum can make a student job ready if he/she does extra skills (like a new programming language, soft skills, etc.) at home without taking dependent on college.

Class Size: 66Course Fees: INR 484000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For the first semester, the tuition fee was 79000 which includes your uniform fees, ID Card fees, etc. And then in the second semester, the tuition fee was 65000 and from 3rd sem onwards it was 56500. The hostel and mess fee depends ok which hostel you are staying in. Financial Assistance like Tuition Fee Waivers, Scholarships are also provided.

Surrounded by lush green forests and tea gardens, this college conducts a lot of activities like IDEATION, SITEX, etc. This college also has various clubs like Photography Club, GDSC club, etc. Various sports activities are also conducted.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

I got TFW quota in this college from WBJEE Counselling, so for this the total fees for me is 1/8th of the fees paid by other, who take admission through Direct or with WBJEE Counselling itself.
