Remarks

For admission to uiet you have to give jee mains exam and have a decent rank in mains. You can apply for counseling through jac Chandigarh portal and all the forms are available on jac website. As every college has uiet also has a reservation policy.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen CSE as my branch as I was totally interested in it. The faculty of uiet is decent as every govt. College has. There are some guest faculty also .all the teachers are well qualified and have done Ph.D. in their subjects. The teaching method of some teachers are good but not all are good. You know about college teachers. We have minors two times in a semester and final sem exams.

Internships Opportunities

For internships, you have to apply off campus and you can do it in the last sem and can get PPO. But you can also do internships in the 6th sem by permission of faculties which is easy. Very few companies offer on-campus internships.

Placement Experience

Placements of Cse and It are very good and many excellent companies offer excellent packages to students. Compaines like Amazon, American Express, optimum, and many startups also offer in uiet. Students become eligible for placement in the 7th sem. The highest package last time was 44 LPA which was off-campus I think and the on-campus highest is 34 by amazon. Around 90% of cse and its students get placed in decent companies so if you are from it or cse you don't have to worry.

Fees and Financial Aid

A fee of uiet is 1 LPA now but here is a fee hike policy of around 5% every year but election parties oppose the hike. Here are many scholarships available like state scholarships and other EWS scholarships.

Campus Life

Campus life is pretty cool. The North campus infrastructure is good compared to the south campus. Panjab University has a library which is known as AC Joshi Library and all the departments have their own library also. Talking about classrooms, some classrooms have AC (Block 1) while others haven't. Projectors are available in almost every class. Uiet has an annual fest Goonj as I have heard and a fest called legacy is also organized this year it was a very good fest and everyone enjoyed it. As uiet is in Chandigarh so social life is excellent, no hostel timings so you can easily night out and too many clubs are there in chandigarh so don't worry , life is chill.

Pec...The best college in chd

Placement Experience:

This college has decently good packages both the average package and median packages as well as almost 80 percent studnets are placed before the 4th year ends...if I talk about my branch the median was 11 lpa and almost 90 students were palced out of 120 in 2024

My review of PEC Chandigarh

Course Curriculum Overview:

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Pec is still worth it

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)

Great college with immense opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is upto date and to the industry levels, especially with great labs and internship opportunities. Exams, are based on the course but they're quite tough and we need to study daily to get good marks.

Good college with great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 4th year and many get PPOs in 3rd year as well. Top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Google, visits the campus for placement. In CSE last year, the highest package was around 60 LPA with average around 17-18 LPA with 80% got placed.

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered and internships are also offered in the 3rd year, many new branches are also being introduced to the curriculum. Placements are according to the branch and capability of the student. There is good placement ratio.

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location.
