IIITK REVIEW

I took Admission via JEE MAINS exam, in which I scored 97.3 percentile and then I applied for Josaa counselling which consisted of 7 rounds. I have filled out my choices and I got into IIITK college in 3rd round. Eligibility to admission will be the completion of the 12th class and the required percentile in JEE MAINS. The cutoff for our college is about 35000 for the general category, reservations are accepted. Overall my application process was smooth.

The course Curriculum is good as it follows IIIT HYDERABAD Curriculum where unnecessary subjects like chemistry and engineering drawing are not included. Very much suitable for students who are dedicated towards Computer science. I don't say all the Faculty are good, no college ever has one like that, but most of them are fairly good. Almost all of the faculty were qualified with PHD in prestigious colleges. The exams were scheduled with a gap of a month, we have 2 midterms and one end semester.

Tech giants like Amazon and Google came to the campus for internships, and placement cell always brings startups as well as some well-established companies for internships. But the only problem is that most of the roles offered are sde roles. Very rarely do we see an internship in cloud or iot or big data.

Considering the fact that the college was established recently in 2015, I would say the placements we got are decent, currently, the highest package is 46LPA. And the average package is around 11.5LPA. Placement cell is good, they constantly try to reach all the companies.

The tuition fee per semester as of now is 99000 per semester, and the hostel fee is 50000 per semester which includes mess fees and hostel maintenance fees. Scholarships and financial assistance are provided. Campus jobs are also fairly Good.

Campus life here is very peaceful and enthusiastic. We have two main fests in a year other than many small events. They are namely Dhruva(tech fest) and Enlace(cultural fest). The library is the only thing which I don't like about my college, only books which are provided in the course curriculum are placed in the library, we don't have any extra books and out of box knowledge. Classrooms are central air conditioned but sometimes don't work. We have a football ground and badminton court and table tennis to play.

One room can accommodate up to 3 members, but actually, the room is designed for only 2 members there will be study tables and chairs for three members, but sockets are only two on each side of the wall. Mess here is maintained by students, and the menu is also designed by students from all batches. So there will be dishes eaten by all the states, but u should not expect them to be too good. There is no separate registration process for the hostel everything will be done at the time of counselling itself.
