Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose ece first of all because I didn't get cse. Ece is generally considered as toughest course among other btech courses. Nowadays ece demand for jobs is increasing. So, ece has a broader scope in future. There are various high salary jobs in ece like vlsi etc.

Internships Opportunities

3

The key paid internship program offered is by Tata Elxsi of stipend around rupees 15000 per month. Some other companies which do not stipends are trizlabs, green method engineering etc. They are designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry readiness. These generally involve applied technology development relevant to company's core business domains.

Placement Experience

4

From the 7th semester students become eligible for placements. The top recruiters in it sectors are Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Tata Elxsi, Accenture, Oracle, Amazon, Wipro, UST GLOBAL, IBM. The top recruiters in other sectors are Mu Sigma, Ernst and young,, federal Bank, h and r block. Most of the placement are in it and related sectors. The average package is 4 to 6 lpa.The highest package is 34 lpa in Amazon. In 2024, 35 percent of students got placed. I will look to get campus placement in a reasonable package or I will try to get jobs by other means.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got admission in govt merit seat. In merit seats, the total fees for 4 years is 2,33,875. The first year fees is 68650 which includes: Tuition fees: 40520 Admission fees: 240 Ktu fee: 6580 Caution deposit: 5000 Special fee: 2910 Swaf: 3850 Institutional dev fund: 5000 PTA: 4500 Society: 50 The management fees for the first year is 1,03,390 and for the total 4 years is 3,83,625. The ksrtc quota fee is also same as the management fee. The nri quota fee 2,74,840 for the 1st year including refundable deposit of 1,25,000. The nri quota fees for the rest 3 years is 4,33,985. I am not availing any scholarships currently. The available merit cum scholarships are: Reliance foundation ug scholarship Aicte Scholarship IET india scholarship Central sector scholarship Amazon future engineering scholarship Legrant scholarship etc.

Campus Life

5

The college has a vibrant campus life and freedom. There are many events and fest in the college. Cult a way, advent and Autobahn are the popular events here.Cult a way and advent are typically in March/April.Autobahn is in January. The Central library house has more than 32000 books, 66 international and national magazines/ journals. The college also has wifi for computer, laptop and mobile phones. DELNET access is available for authorised spacious, well equipped and ict enabled classrooms. Availability of lcd projector and projector screens on the classrooms. Variety of sports like cricket, basketball, badminton, volleyball, handball, kabaddi, football, kho kho, athletics etc are offered on campus. The college has various social clubs like IEEE, IEDC, NSS, NCC etc.

Admission

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom. It also has good placement records, good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage. This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. Students can also join this college by nri quota without any entrance exam by giving more fees.I got admission in ece in sctce in the keam 1st allotment itself.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is almost 1:26 something. The college has approximately 75 faculties and around 2000 students. The student faculty relationship is highly positive. Most of the faculties are friendly, supportive and interactive. The faculties are generally qualified and we'll experienced. There are 8 semester end exams and 2 series exam in each semester. I don't know about the difficulty of the exam. I think it's generally hard. The course curriculum is relevant I think.

Night Life

4

The college doesn't has a hostel of own. Students stay in pg and private hostels and some are dayscholars. The college canteen, basketball court, department library, club offices and surroundings are some of the famous hangout spaces inside the campus. Lulu mall, technopark area, kovalam beach etc are some of the hangout places outside the campus. The pappanamcode locality is generally safe to roam around at night

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from the 6th semester onwards. At the conclusion of the second year, the college evaluates all students, allowing only the diligent and deserving individuals to proceed, while others are dismissed. The college provides excellent placement prospects for high-performing students. A multitude of reputable companies actively recruit from our institution, making it a premier destination for career opportunities in Kerala. While assured placement is offered to students with minimal or no backlog papers, others are also placed, albeit with comparatively lower annual packages. Majority of the talented students are placed in Cognizant and TCS Ninja with an average annual package of 10 to 12 lakh. I actually plan to pursue higher studies after Btrch.

I loved my department. But some of the management decisions made bad impacts on students and they hate the college. Faculties were good. As I already said 4 to 5 professors were so good in teaching and rest of them makes the learning experience a nightmare.
