Campus atmosphere and freedom given to students. more good college life as it is a govt controlled institution
fest conducted and the frequent celebrations conducted and getting chance for good interaction and involvement
versitile lab facilities and experienced staff to demonstrate it especially in mechanical branch

Dislikes

The syllabus is under KTU. so its not updated and it have flaws
rude behaviour of some teachers with personal grudge
poor and old infrastructure and small campus area

The course and caricculum is not that much updated. it is not the flaw of thecollege but the flaw of the KTu which makes all the messes. still they posses the old un updated syllabuses and also not getting mordern day exposure.

Internships Opportunities

The Tata exelis is in collaboration with the college which provides a massive amount of internship with stipend with in the 3rd year itself which is rarer in colleges in kerala. a lot of other oppertunities also exist in college.

Generally a good amount of placement is offered in our college to the students. many large companies are accompanied in the placement drive for the recruitment and the qualified students are placed with good lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

govt full fee, govt half fee, NRI quota, KSRTC quota are generally available. the fees mainly ranges from 1.5k to 2l per year according to the quota or the merit you recieved. govt sc or st quota have 1.5 k fee

Campus Life

CULT A WAY is one of the largest technical and cultural fest conducted by our college. The exposure which it gaves to the children are massive. Just google for it and will get more details of the a bunch of other high profile events of the college.

Admission

The KEAM entrance exam is the one and only exam as entrance is conducted for the admission for various courses and it is conducted by kerala govt. But non keam and nri and also ksrtc quota are filled by 12th marks.

Faculty

2.5

The faculties are really good qualified and also dedicated faculties are available for each branch and each subject. But still majority still fails to convey the core idea effectively to children and still stucked in old school teaching.

An honest college review

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for placements. The top recruiters in it sectors are Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Tata Elxsi, Accenture, Oracle, Amazon, Wipro, UST GLOBAL, IBM. The top recruiters in other sectors are Mu Sigma, Ernst and young,, federal Bank, h and r block. Most of the placement are in it and related sectors. The average package is 4 to 6 lpa.The highest package is 34 lpa in Amazon. In 2024, 35 percent of students got placed. I will look to get campus placement in a reasonable package or I will try to get jobs by other means.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. Placement Experience:

They provide placement packages from a minmum of 4lpa to 12 lpa.. But most of the students got 4 lpa packages, it is very difficult to crack higger packages, but most of the cs students got placement andd students of other departments palcement is not good.

While assured placement is offered to students with minimal or no backlog papers, others are also placed, albeit with comparatively lower annual packages. My College days

Remarks:

I loved my department. But some of the management decisions made bad impacts on students and they hate the college. Faculties were good. As I already said 4 to 5 professors were so good in teaching and rest of them makes the learning experience a nightmare.

I choose this college because it has vibrant campus life and freedom.It also has good placement records,good pass percentage. I also took due to distance advantage.This college also has good faculty, teaching. Although the campus is small, the infrastructure is well maintained. It has well structured labs.I also looked for cet, Trivandrum but I didn't get it because of my keam rank. The exam accepted for the course is keam and most of the students prefer it. Students can also join this college by nri quota without any entrance exam by giving more fees.I got admission in ece in sctce in the keam 1st allotment itself....Read More

A quick sneak peak to SCT College of Engineering

I acually applied for Emmanuel college vazhichal for the curse of biotechnology andbotany . I got the admission right away but the problem was with the distance.
