Remarks

I joined through JEELET. After that counseling, I got a seat. Students can also join by JEE and WBJEE. The selection process is very simple which you can find on the official website. The college is best for newcomers and I suggest everyone join.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are 8-semester classes that begin from July and 1st sem in December and 2nd sem in March or April and so on. And there are two internal before every semester. MAKAUT syllabus can change anytime but it depends on your course. For the faculty member they all are qualified and friendly.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a government college from my side fees is very low 12400 for CSE and ECE department and 8400 for CE ,EE, ME at the time of admission. Then semester fees is 6400 for CSE and ECE. And 4400 for rest or 5400 I am not sure but not more than this. Yes you can get scholarship if you are belonging from quota or have good marks in boards and fulfil the scholarship criteria and have to take document from college and you will get scholarship. You can get scholarship as SVMCM etc.

Campus Life

The start is celebrated and every festival is celebrated. Football and volleyball are mostly played cricket is also played by students but is not much preferred. Labs are equipped for engineering but not completely but you can do very much with all this equipment and a sufficient no. of equipment are present.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
