Remarks

The admission is based on the WBJEE ranking. The cutoff for CSE is 35k. There is also a seat booking system. You can visit the campus and discuss with college authorities for admission purposes. There is a smooth process of admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am a student of Computer Science and Engineering. The course curriculum is based on the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. The facilities are quite good and helpful. There are two internal exams and a final University exam in a semester.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunity is quite less in our college. But some companies come for providing internship opportunities. Companies like Twilio Informatica give the chance for internship. There are other organizations also.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements start in the 6th semester. Many companies visit for recruitment as our college is a part of techno India group. The average package is 4 LPA. Companies like Capgemini, virtuosa, thought works, Accenture, and Wipro persistently visit every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total cost of college fees is around 4.5 lakhs. Students can apply for education loans. The fee structure is different for a different semester at Siliguri Institute of Technology. Students will get the fee Structure at the time of admission. There are government scholarships and swami Vivekananda merit scholarships.

Campus Life

The campus environment of our college is great. There are many activities like college fest, events, quizzes, etc. There are many social groups also. The college has a cricket academy, photography club, and various other clubs for extracurricular activities.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

I got TFW quota in this college from WBJEE Counselling, so for this the total fees for me is 1/8th of the fees paid by other, who take admission through Direct or with WBJEE Counselling itself.
