Remarks

Online application for Kerala University. There are management quota and community quota seats available. There will be no entrance exams for admission for both UG and PG. The application process can be done through the Kerala University site via the internet.

Course Curriculum Overview

Term exams were done in the semester system. Correct exams will be done. The internal assessment was strictly done. Six semesters were there for a three-year course. Exams were a little bit difficult but with proper tutoring, they can be easily passed.

Placement Experience

From the fifth semester, many companies approach placement drive. There are Wipro, Infosys, Federal bank, TCS, and Cognizant. There are more than 40% of students were placed under those companies. Good Salary Package.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are under the Kerala University circular. The fee will be less for scholarship students and students who got admission through merit. There will be a campus placement drive each year for third-year students. More than ten companies participated.

Campus Life

There are many clubs and social groups. There are NSS, NCC, health club, literature club, environment club, and Malayalam club. There are social media pages run by students regarding college events and moments.

Hostel Facilities

So the college is located in a city there will be a college hostel for students. And many rooms and paying guests facilities are also available . The bus service is good. The railway station is near. The bus stand is near. Good transportation and food facilities.

Why you should/shouldn't join LISSAH

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5 the opportunity to get a job is out there. Many companies comes to interview and they swlect the apt ones. Sun, Mahendra etc are some of the companies i remember. The highesr package for freshers is like 15000 a month. There is a high percentage of students getting placements its 80-85%.My plan is to study masters.

I chose Bsc electronics, it has an attractive curriculum and some of them are influenced me in some way. The facilities are well-known about the curriculum preparing and all. The current curriculum is good but it needs some changes. Include more practicals is one of my suggestion. Teaching methods are good it doesn't need any change. Exams are conducted by Kerala University, so the college can't do anything in main exams but the college will complete all the portions before the exam date it is sure.

Overall college is nice but placement are very less

As my college is under kerala University the admission process is based on marks. I had above 90% mark in plustwo and I got the admission in third allotment. And I think a person who have above 85% attendance can get admission in my college within last allotment. The application was completely online in the kerala university site. And application coasted me below 500. The only cost to study in my college is the exam fees and textbooks. The person who have postmetric schoolatship will be free from exam fees and everyone have admission fees 9500 for those who is without postmetric schoolatship and 7500 for those who have postmetric schoolatship. Timing of exams are really unpredictable as my college is under kerala University. The Biochemistry subject is completely hard to study...Read More
