Remarks
One needs to have his 10+2 done with a science stream (either PCM or PCB). Those having PCMB get an addon of 3% in their total %. But from this year (2022), the admissions are going to be done through CUET. Thus, 12% won't matter now. Application form fees due date: everything can be found at the site of NTA CUET. The improvement which I had thought was for the admission process is already implemented from this year, i.e., ENTRANCE.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is a research-oriented field with a dynamic set of papers in it, i.e., biochemistry, cell biology, microbiology, physiology, pathology, immunology, genetics, pharmacology, epidemiological data analysis, toxicology, and many such.. Handsome parts of the syllabus and books match with the MBBS curriculum. I got into this course as I was earlier aspiring for NEET, which I couldn't crack. The faculty to student ratio is 1:6. All of the faculty here are Ph.D.'s from various prestigious universities from both India and abroad. Some of them are even double masters or Ph.D. holders. The term exams were held at regular times each time without any delay (just a bit of delay in between because of the catastrophic COVID-19). Post-COVID, everything has now resumed seamlessly and punctually. In order to ace the term examination, one needs to thoroughly go through the syllabus, essential readings, and class notes.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is as follows: 1st yr.-23k (inclusive of all, i.e., security money, admission, etc. etc.), 2nd yr.-17k, 3rd yr-17k. The whole of the course would be completed within 65 k (57 k +7-8 k of exam fees for all three years).
Campus Life
The best thing about this college is its CAMPUS arena, which includes a dedicated college building, a park, an open gym, badminton courts (2), basketball courts, volleyball courts, cricket/football grounds, a canteen, etc. The campus is very large, neat, and clean with plenty of greenery. The annual fest of this college has been named as Srijan. Apart from this, each department has its own society and fests. This college has a double-storey library with an adequate number of books and journals and also gets daily newspapers to be read at the library itself. Classrooms are good (better compared to other Delhi University colleges). Other than fests, extracurricular activities happen on every festival or occasion. Sports activities conducted officially are very minimal (cons). There are various clubs for music, art, dance and film, respectively.
