Course Curriculum Overview

4

B.Sc. Hons Mathematics course is a truly practical course that helps to learn and enhance adaptive thinking, reasoning ability , analytical skills and many more, that also shaped my will to opt for this course. There are many real life pursuits after this couse like actuarial science, business analyst, fiannce management, consulltansy, data science and much more. Though this corse seems very practical, even then there is a room of improvements like interactive visuals can be used for explanations.

Internships Opportunities

4

The coolege provides a variety of internships opportunities for all the part of many jobs a student is interested in. Whether you are an editor, a finance expert, or a data analyst enthusiast, the opportunities provided by the college are rare to find that can help a student grow in their chosen fields at a huge stage. There are much well-known companies like picapool, tele force, adobe, tata and many more with roles like junior executive, event head, project leader, solution consultant, etc.

Placement Experience

4

The placements have been decent throughout the past years, around 40% of the students get placed through on campus placements. From the final year itself , the students are eligible for placements. The highest package went around 18-20 LPA while average package was around 5-6 LPA. While the packages are exceptionally high the companies that came for recruitment were also big firms like airtel, blinkit, zepto, EY, McKinsey, google, meta ,zoho, etc. The top positions that were offered included many interim heads and assisstant positions.

Fees and Financial Aid

The detailed fee structure of kirori mal college for the course B.Sc. Hons Mathematics is rupees 17115 yearly. Comparing it over the years, there has been a slight increase in the fees. The total fees already consists of several components which are necessary for smooth conduct of the college like tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees and some more. There are many scholarships like National scholarship portal and INSPIRE.

Campus Life

4

The campus life here is so exciting, every other day there is a speaker session or a workshop which engages a lots of students. Due to hectic schedule of classes, there is less time for Extra-curricular activities. The seniors and even the batchmates in the campus are really friendly, helpful and supportive. The campus is very safe, it is proctored by many efficient safety protocols. The libraries have loads of books, journals to expanfd knowlegfe of students and also rooms of great ambience. The student run societies are a key highlight as they work on holistic development of the student.

Admission

There are many prestigious colleges in DU and I was also getting admissions into them, even in the north campus too. But I opted for KMC as my preference due to its great alumni legacy, active mathematics department and vibrant society culture, which is not there in many colleges. The admission process is ver simple. It starts right after you pass your 12th boards, then there is Cuet exam have a great score in it. Then after csas allocation rounds you will get the college.

Faculty

4

To be honest, you will find the best maths faculty in KMC. There are 17 professors in total in maths department. They are very generous and clear every doubt of each student by giving them proper time. There is much leniency in attendance and classes. SP tripathi, Vishal dhawan, Neha agarwal are the renowned facilities. The exams happen on a planned basis like internal assessments, continuous assessments after every fortnight, mid sem exams and also end sem exams. They are not much difficult and can be cleared with practice. The course elevates the human thinking and brings it to the reality of practical applications of mathematics.

Night Life

4

The nightlife around my college area can be said as one og the best life as it's in the north campus. Tkamla nagar market area has all the funs and activities a student does and makes the best of the memories throughout their college. The gym in my college is well-managed having all the required equipments. The library is open from the morning till the evening time around 5'o clock for all the students of the college giving everyone a comfortable place to study. My favorite spots in the north campus are the tom uncle maggi point, sudama tea stall, CodeBreak60, Kachori stall and it goes on.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Jan 6, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
