My views on KMC . A final year student

Our course (B.Sc Hons. Mathematics ) is more focused towards descriptive and theoritical method since my course belong to pure mathematics along with that I have statistics in my generic elective (GE) which is more application based. Our course is structured more towards reseach part. Whereas the commerce and economics courses are more relevant to practical industry knowldege. The usual struture is divided into two part in each sem generally known as end and mid sem exam. Whereas there exist weekly and monthly examination which majorly depends upon the teaching style of the faculty.

I am more focused towards government examination so my interest doesn't lie in this area much. But he college provide quality internship to decent number of amny multinational comapnies like accenture , DE shaw comes for internship to our comapus. The internships opportunities are handled by the placememt cell in a transparent manner , it is run by the students and superivised by college officials.

The general fee structure of most colleges under our university same with our college. The tuition fees is affordable ranges between 16000-18000 per year . There are seperate charges for hostel and mess applicable to only hostelers. If I include the examination fee the total year fees comes about 20000. There Are several scholarship some are provide by central government , some are provided by the university while the college also provides scholarships in itself.

The annaul fest name is Renaissance which is organised by the student union . apart from this there are regular fest of department and club which keep going throughout the year. Our college provided good facility for sports also it encourage students to participate in inter and intra college sports events,

Since our univeristy system is based on cutoff criteria. I want to enroll for course but my priority order was St. Stephens , Hindu , LSR , Hansraj then KMC . Then as per my marks in the CUET common university entrance test , it statistfied the required number for KMC . Hence I got admission here. The admission process is quite simoe and complex at the same time . you need to appear for CUET after than you need fill the CSAS regaistration and set the priority order of course and colleges.

The faculty , particularly mentioning about the mathematics professors are truly a sort of Gem. They encourage learning of subject rather than just academic formalities. The teachers here completed their Mater and Phd from various institues including IIT and various renowned univerisities. The core subject paper have a total marking of 160 divided into Internal and contiinous assesment along with practical and written examination marking.

There is nothing much in name if night life over the college campus although we can have func activity in the uiversity area but the entry to college premises is not available after a certain time. NIght life is only relevant for hostel students . since they have ample amount of space , activity in the hostel to enjoy the night life.
