My admission in my course was through a merit list published by the Delhi University on the basis of board marks. A candidate has to obtain above the cutoff percentage in PCM to take admission in this course.
Course Curriculum Overview
DDUC is famous for its science department and also has a higher NIRF ranking in the science department. Teachers in the chemistry department are highly qualified with higher degrees and have good command of their subjects. They are happy to help their students not only in academics but in all other aspects too. The course is not so difficult if one is consistent, and one can easily maintain a CGPA of over 8 if one is serious.
Fees and Financial Aid
Being a government college, the fees have been kept at par as compared to other institutes for affordability for the students. Several scholarships are also available for financially less-aided students. Placement opportunities for chemistry courses are almost negligible. However, many internship programs are available for all stream students.
Campus Life
DDUC has one of the best infrastructures in the entire DU circuit. It is a recently constructed building in Dwarka, so it has greener surroundings and a great crowd. The library has a variety of books for everyone, with a specially dedicated e-book system in the computer room. Wi-Fi is available with good connectivity speed. The classrooms are spacious and clean. The hostel is available for both outstation boys and girls with proper maintenance. The mess provides four meals a day, and the menu is changed constantly so students can enjoy different cuisines every day. Outdoor and indoor games are available for enjoyment and frequent tournaments are held to encourage students in a competitive environment. The college has many active societies for one to choose from. Anyone can join the society according to their interests. Societies are good for one's personality development and help one socialize.
